Diablo becomes an Amazon top seller

Diablo becomes an Amazon top seller photo
     Amazon.com

Oh, you crazy kids and your clicky-clicky loot games. In the wake of Diablo III's official announcement, it seems that fans of picking up crap that a skeleton dropped simply can't wait for the PC roleplayer to arrive, and are filling in time with the Diablo Battle Chest.

Diablo Battle Chest collects the original Diablo, Diablo II and Diablo II: Lord of Destruction along with two hint guides in one handy box, providing fans of the Blizzard series with everything they need to catch up. It currently rests atop the mountain as Amazon's top-selling PC game, but you better hurry if you want one -- at present, there are but three left in stock. Oh noes!

I'm guessing this Diablo stuff is a big deal, right?

[Cheers, Zulu]

I'll never understand the disdain for PC games on this site.

I understand the sports hate (sorry Samit :) ), but PC games deserve a 'lil love too.

Now back to your wagglefests and RRoD and last-gen-is-now-next-gen console games.

Don't flame me; I own all 3 consoles and a gaming PC I built myself. Just lookin' for a little parity, that's all.

The video of the Barbarian, my favorite Diablo 2 class, shitting all over the forces of darkness with a fresh coat of paint and aggression that'd make Kratos blush has already sold the game to me.

I don't feel there's a lot of PC hate around here...just the typical fanboy crap Dtoid seems to be de-evolving into.

In fact I didn't ever think that until I read that flame-bait post. Chill the fuck out people, this is getting retarded now.

Also, I'm thinking of going and getting the same Diablo set because I only ever played it at a friend's house because I didn't actually own a computer when it came out. We had some pretty serious marathons with that game!

is clicking less hardcore than twitching thumbs now? its all equally hardcore and equally lame depending on point of view.

I'm looking forward to this. I never play DI, and I played DII a bit but never finished it. I need to go dig around some boxes of stuff to see if I can find my old discs.

I'm so glad people are noticing the progression of Dtoid. I think the line between cool indie smart gaming people and complete fucking assholes has become very very blurry

You can also get the Diablo Battlechest for $20 at Gamestop until the 3rd. They might not have the promotion in their computer, so point out their ad and they should drop the price by $10.

Diablo is a pretty shitty series. I mean, what have the done to improve it? Added more stuff to click on? I guess in D3, you'll have EVEN MORE things to click upon. Click click click click click. Also, RAINBOWS AND BRIGHT COLORS!

As easily entertained as ever, now I see why MGS4 is so popular!

I am one of these people: I ran out and got the Battle Chest, and installed the first game (start at the start, right?). Well, of course, it doesn't work on my very powerful, very current PC, but whatever. First one's supposed to be lousy compared to the second, so on I went to the second.

I've ignored the series up until now, and it seems my gaming intuition served me well. It's not BAD, but all the stuff I found likable about it is done bigger and better in WoW. I'll play it a bit more, but I think this style of play is way past its sell-by date.
