Things I like a lot in any game: RPGs, anything set in Japan, fighting demons, unique storylines and great music. As you may imagine, all these apply for the upcoming Atlus DS title Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor, and I'm a little bit hyped about its release. French website Portable RPG recently posted a ton of new screens and video about the RPG (hit the jump to check one out, and see their site for more).
The game came out in Japan on January 15th, and is slated for a release in June for North America. You can check out more info about it at the official website, but I can already tell this one is going to thrill any fan of the Shin Megami Tensei series. Do you want this one as bad as I do, or do you prefer to play your dose of SMT on the Playstation 2?
Some of the character designs rub me the wrong way (ridiculous boobage) but the little bit of music I've heard kicks ass. Given how much I enjoyed (and am still enjoying) Persona 3 it's definitely on my radar. I recently picked up Nocturne, though, so it'll probably be a little while before I look into this one.
Also I should probably start The World Ends With You over and finish it this time if I'm itching to explore Tokyo as a spiky haired teenager and fight weird monsters.
I can't wait to try this out. My main problem with the SMT games, although I do love them, is their length. Considering how little time I've had to play games at home lately, I like the idea of having an SMT I can take with me and play whenever.
I have been addicted to SMT games since Nocturne and DDS causing me to Ebay Persona 2 and be incredibly pumped for 3's release. That month or so delay on Persona 3 slayed me, such a sudden and long wait. Yeah... I am pretty pumped at the prospect of an SMT universe game that can be played on the go (lord knows I've poured hundreds of hours into each of the games that mobility will help).
Jelly is my jam. Is this the same game as the one coming out on the PS2? I'm going to be cautious with this one, I haven't really found a SRPG that I liked.
I recently bought a PSP pretty much for the sole reason of playing Persona and P2: Innocent Sin. Suffice to say that I really want to play this game too.
@Tdiddy: No, Devil Summoner and Devil Survivor are two utterly different games.
I'm pretty excited about this game, it looks like a solid entry for the DS. Actually I'm excited about most of Atlus's lineup... I'm torn, I want more of their games, I want them to stop taking my money.
Excellent read, I just passed this onto a colleague who was doing a little research on that. And he actually bought me lunch because I found it for him smile So let me rephrase that: Thanks for lunch!

And I am totally cool with the SRPG action going on. I need an escape from FFTA2.

Might pick up this DS version...
