We all want Dante inside our tight, velvety pockets, but we're going to have to make do with Nero instead. Devil May Cry 4: Refrain is hack n' slashing its way onto iTunes today, ready to rock on your iPod or iPhone. Whatever suits you in this topsy-turvy world!
Refrain is essentially a bite-sized version of the original Xbox 360/PlayStation 3 title, at least from Nero's side of the story. Capcom has stated that Dante's portion of the game may come later, but it's not confirmed. The game is aiming for a legitimate console experience on your iDevice. Dead Space pulled it off, so why not Devil May Cry, eh?
Shockingly, the game isn't going for "big publisher puts a big name on iTunes" prices, as the title is currently priced at $1.99. Bear in mind this is a temporary launch price though, so you might want to take a gamble on this while the gamble's worth taking.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?

Have you played it yet? Can we get a mini review here in the comments?
Big fan of the DMC serie. Good on Capcom for the $2 price
@Kaggen
It's basically a full game, with levels and everything.
Actually it did work for Dead Space, and to a lesser extent, it works here. It's incredibly easy to use - there's a button for jump, and an attack button that uses your pistol at range, and your sword in CQC.
Is it as good as a $60 console game? No. Is it proportionally great when you take note that the game is $2, portable, and on a device that can perform 100 other functions that is always in your pocket at all times? Sure.
