Amazon usually does a pretty good job of putting recent games on sale but not usually this good. The retailer's Deals of the Week in videogames see a 33% markdown on Deus Ex: Human Revolution, a $14 reduction on Dead Island, and half off on Dungeon Siege III. And, if you act very quickly, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is a mere $25 today only.
I hadn't planned on rushing to get Dead Island, but I think I'm going to have to now.

absolutely agree. Dead Island is worth every penny. It's glitchy as hell but somehow still pretty lovable. It's one of the few games that I feel is worth the sixty dollar cover charge.
If I get Dead Island today I will have effectively saved $65 on games this season because of all the credits you get for pre-ordering on Amazon. That means that one of my games was pretty much free!!! Hooray.
Money back on games is a way better pre-order incentive than any digital download.

What you need to realize is that mostly every game that comes out goes on sale after a matter a few weeks. You think I didn't know that when I pre-ordered Deus ex back in the beginning of January, but wouldn't you also know that I am a big fan of the original and had been longing to play the game since it was first announced.
