Do you know how long we've been wanting to talk about this? I swear it's like a walking around with grenades in your shorts! I'm so ridiculously excited to announce today that Mr. Destructoid is in Pinball FX2 on the Xbox 360!
This creative collaboration with Zen Studios and Twisted Pixel on their upcoming Ms. Splosion Man pinball table, available later this summer as downloadable content on Xbox Live Arcade. If you read our original announcement you'll now understand what Nick was sheepishly hinting at.
Mr. Destructoid appears on the upper left corner of the pinball table, staring ominously back at the gutter. If you're brave enough to hit him ten times (his eyes light up!) his mouth opens and a sub-mission then commences. BANANAS!
This trifecta of indie awesomeness was about through strenuous industry-standard barley repurposing practices during GDC 2011. I'd like to thank Nick, Mel, Hamza, Jay, and Michael for seeing this through from plastered suggestion to such an insane execution!
This marks the 10th video game cameo of Mr. Destructoid, who has also appeared in the upcoming Retro City Rampage, Bomberman Live, Dino Run, Super Meat Boy, Raskulls, and others -- including Ms. Splosion Man. As a guy who started a videogame blog just for fun it's difficult to describe just how grateful I am to be affiliated with such a cool project.
Now, if you'll excuse me I have to phone my nephew who, upon seeing this, will surely defecate himself. Thanks everyone for your reading our wacky robot-themed video game website, we're ridiculously grateful for your support!
We'll have more details and a gameplay video for you in the days before its release.
