Wow. The Boardtoid is so ... conceptual. Anyway, let's get to what the editors have been playing. I have to find a way to tunnel out of here. -- Nex

Niero:
This week I've taken the opportunity to reacquaint myself with Symphony of The Night; quite possibly the world's most gorgeous 2D video game ever made. In the past I typically play all weekend and stop myself until I flip the castle and lose interest, but with the new achievements in place I might go that extra sleep-deprived mile and wrap it up. Its amazing how well this game has held up despite being over 10 years old. I'm glad quasi sequels found a viable market on handhelds. I've also got a pile of older games from GameFly sitting on my TV: Dead Rising, Phantasy Star Online, and something else. Meh. Old man robot is feeling old school lately. Time Pilot, anyone?

Nex:
I spent most of the last five months jealous about the release of Guitar Hero 2 on the PS2. I was purposely avoiding it in anticipation of the 360 version, and now that it's finally here, I've spent all week mangling my hands on that guitar. The game is everything I'd hoped for and more, and my only disappointment is that there's no downloadable content yet.

Red Octane, if you include Sponge's Plowed as DLC, I promise to never have sex with your wives.

Nick Brutal:
I'm playing Guitar Hero II (360) of course, when I get the time. Working my way through the harder difficulties of Elite Beat Agents, too. Really, that's it right now.

Pretty sad.

Grim:
I've been playing nothing but Guitar Hero II. Since I never owned the PS2 version, chances are I'm not going to get bored with this game anytime soon.

Robert Summa:
I feel like I am finally back to normal after months of constant transition. Because of that, I now play video games again, yay! I've been playing the Shadowrun beta (which is hawt) and been trying to understand how in the hell to play C&C.

I finally got Bullet Witch sent to me, so I guess I'll see what all the hate is about for this game.

Dick McVengeance:
Now that I've beaten Lunar Knights, I can put my DS away until summer break (all my other games are at home). For the remainder of my time here, I hope to finally get past The Magnificent Five in Viewtiful Joe and maybe beat Red Steel already.

hushgush:
I've developed two possibly unhealthy obsessions this week: making all my earring holes a few gauges bigger, and beating everyone's score in Geometry Wars. I cannot explain either of them. I'm also playing Chocobo Tales on DS. Yeah, that's right, you heard me.

Nagiko:
Trauma Center. Trauma Center. Trauma Center.

Obsession FTW.

RevAnthony:
Out of absolutely nowhere, I've developed a random desire to replay Sid Meier's Pirates. Once Super Paper Mario comes out I'll probably kick it to the curb, but I'll be buckling swashes for the next few days.

Faith:
I've been playing that Chick Chick Boom flash game by Nintendo and Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales - KWEH!

Summa: I tried to ignore the hate for bullet witch and gave it a go. The idea is fantastic I like what they had planned but they just didn't put it into play very well :( Shame that because i think it would of been a game I would of enjoyed with all teh magic's and shootings and stuffs. Though its fun to push the cars around.

Guitar Hero II's Hard Mode is kicking my ass and I'm occasionally playing through Psychonauts. I'm finally going to beat that game.

Additionally, the target marks achievements I have left in Lost Planet add up to just enough to get the remaining 150 points I need for the Xbox Rewards Challenge. I already own Contra, but I'm so close that just winning would satisfy me.

I just finished the main story in Puzzle Quest (take 'that' Lord Bain) and have taken time off from sieging cities to play a couple of other things.

This past week I've revisited a few titles on my X-box, including pushing towards actually finishing Halo. Also been playing Samurai Warriors (which is not very good) and Soul Calibur II (which i'm completing again, again).

Apart from that, played some WoW on my PC and got to level 9 before growing far too bored and un-installing it. Also some Beyond Good and Evil, Bookworm Adventures and Frets on Fire.

Just got Guitar M '06 for the DS (releaseds as Jam Sessions later this year) and have been playing 'Yoshimi Battle the Pink Robots. Part 1' on that.

A bit of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Supreme Commander, too.

I've been TOTALLY addicted to my DS and have forgotten about all my other gaming rigs, more or less.

Let's see. Puyo Pop Fever, Puzzle Quest, New Super Mario, Animal Crossing Wild World, Brain Age, Hotel Dusk, Cooking Mama (way more fun than it should be - it's retarded), METEOS (!!!!!!!!!!!!), Osu! Tatake! Ouendan! (the music is so much better than Elite Beat), Kirby Canvas Curse. Yeah, I hit the bargain bin like a rock pipe. Started on Lunar Knights but got distracted.

Also, Gitaroo Man for PS2 and I finally decided to beat FEAR on PC, a year after I bought it. Gitaroo man rapes me. And slowing working my way through Halo 2, I never got around to beating that either.

And yeah, Trauma Center rules, may pick up my ollllld save game for that soonish.

I finally went out and bought a PS2 last week, so I've been playing God of War and Shadow of the Colossus. SotC is easily one of the top 5 games I've ever played. Amazing.

I also finally got around to beating Gears of War on Insane.

Oh, and I've been playing this a lot: http://www.gamedesign.jp/flash/dice/dice.swf

I picked up COD 3 and Marvel: UA for the 360 from that Activision B1G1 sale at TRU, so I have been playing those 2 games.
And I also rented The Godfather for the Wii, I wouldn't have paid full price for this game. But it is turning out to be a fun rental.

The only console I own right now is the Wii... so yeah... not much to play. Bought Ninja Turtles on VC Monday and played it for about an hour before vomitting violently. I have to stop wasting cash on feces like that. WHERE THE FUCK IS PUNCHOUT!! !!!

I've been playing Tales of Destiny for the Playstation (emulation) while waiting for Paper Mario. Just finished it, so it's on to Tales of Destiny 2 I guess.

Rev, I've been staring at my old copy of Pirates as well and had an urge to play, which I've somehow managed to resist. I never got too far in it so I never understood the appeal because tasks soon became repetitive and I went back to Civilization, maybe you can enlighten me?

Anyways until Guitar Hero 2 comes in the mail, my week is just STALKER and IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 (HOTAS FTW)

rainbow black if you choose chocobo tales over puzzle quest you will need to hand in your balls as trade-in (IIRC you also get a copy of barbie horse adventure with the trade).

I'm pretty sure it wasn't a well Nex fell down in but maybe one of the abandoned Shanghai Tunnels.

I've been playing Guitar Hero 2(360), S.T.A.L.K.E.R., and SotN on XBL. I can't wait for Super Paper Mario.

Final Fantasy III DS. I just finished FF XII and Zelda TP, and I have a stack of 360 games to play, but all I want to play right now is FF III.

Guitar Hero I. Theres this one solo I cant get past on hard! I just need to beat that song to move on to the final group of songs but I have the inability to play chords fast enough! I would say that it's not fair I cant just play the other songs without having to unlock them and beat this one but thats a different article and i think thats a ridiculous idea.

Catching up on Sam & Max episodes, Mario Kart DS online, more Clubhouse Games, Sim 2 Seasons for a short bit.

I never uninstalled Pirates... That game calls to me quite often.

Playing some Rogue Galaxy, Oblivion, and Silent Hunter IV. Something satisfying about blowing an unarmed merchant ship to hell.

3 more songs left in Frequency (final bonus song, plus 2 secret ones), and I'm not totally sure after that. I'd like to get around to playing more Twilight Princess, but I'm not sure if I have big blocks of time to play it, so maybe just getting around to beating Pokemon Colloseum, which shouldn't take long. Also, a bit of Guitar Hero I and Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow.

God of War 2, Crackdown achievements, Parasite Eve 1, Suikoden 2, Tales of the Abyss and Castlevania Aria of Sorrow.

Ooo, Beyond Good and Evil, I should play through that again.
