Neither Divinity: Original Sin nor Dragon Commander made nominations for PC, indie, or RPG? Teh sadness.
Wow, despite all the editors in Holmes's poolside chat pointing toward Ubisoft and Watch Dogs as being their favorite reveal, I'm surprised it's not getting a slot in the GOTS category. Honestly, I'm more impressed with the reveals and gameplay shown at this E3 than I have been in a while. Really great stuff!
Explain to me why Call of Duty, Resident Evil, and Metal Gear are game of the show nominees.

Watch Dogs? Did it look amazing and play like shit or something, because after that trailer I can not wait to play it.
Years and years of technological and graphic enhancements to further blur the visual lines between reality and games, and Rayman Legends, a 2D platformer, blows everything out of the water.

You guys must have missed Project Diva f. It should have been in either best portable, or best rhythm.
WTF? The Last of Us and CoDBLOPS2 in game of the show category? no, just no. The Last of Us demo was so underwhelming, Naughty Dog actually managed to make it even more scripted than Uncharted 3. at times it looked barelly above Heavy Rain in terms of gameplay. and BLOPS2 was just boring and incredibly bland(both MoH and CoD were rather weak).
Watch Dogs is clear winner to me.
also the fact that you guys didn't even bother to include Lucius in Best Indie is a joke. a non-linear sandbox adventure game where you play as an 8 year old kid possessed by devil who tries to kill all the people in the mansion, by any means necessary.
also lack of PC games in genre categories is really jarring(no Divinity, Dragon Commander in Best RPG, ArmA 3 in Best Shooter?).

except Hatsune Miku won't be released outside Japan - it was only a showcase of the game and just that(which was confirmed by Sega/Sony).
also no ZombiU for Best Shooter? have you guys not demoed it or something - there are few previews and gameplay videos and the game is phenomenal. an actual survival horror game and not another shooter with zombies - after watching just one preview it instantly became my most wanted shooter.

I never understood the criteria for Game of Show. If a game isn't playable hands-on, how can you assume the game is G.O.S. material? Was Last of Us hands-on?

I tried to get Jonathan Holmes to play it, but no dice. It's a shame, I think he would have loved it. I just want info of it to come out here so we have a chance of it getting localized.

Sucks that Assassin's Creed 3 isn't in the running for GOTS. I thought it blew a lot of the other nominees out of the water. Oh well, there's still hope for the community award!
Yeah after I saw that Watch Dogs didn't make the list for GOTS I immediately jumped over to the community award site to vote for it.
That game looked absolutely brilliant. Also it was the only one that really peaked my interest.
Rayman Legends also looked good but the fact that you practically can only play that thing with at least one other person immediately turned me off(The same reason why I never bought RE5).
Everything else was just so bland and boring and the same shit we've already seen time and time again during this generation.
Oh yeah Ubisoft wins btw. They found a way to make Assasin's Creed 3 the center of the Microsoft, Sony, and their own presser. I was actually surprised that when Guillemot stepped on stage at Nintendo's event he didn't pimp it some more there too. They could have renamed E3 "giant AC3 commercial" this year.

Pretty surprised that CoD, MGS, RE6 and Beyond made it in ahead of Watchdogs, Far Cry 3 and Dust 514..
It may not be the "best" game but I can tell you this right now: I'm going to play the shit out of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.
