Destructoid gets Unreal - Over $9600 in PC prizes

Let's do it again!  Destructoid's 24/7 Gaming Meetup begins again today this time with competitive skill-ranked matches in Unreal Tournament and participation prizes for casual gamers. Here's how it works:

1. Join FNF and complete a duel in Unreal Tournament 99' against another player (don't have the game? It's $10 on Steam or on GOG.com) to be entered into our raffle for the $1,300 PC.  Each completed game (win or lose) is a point.  PLAY NOW

2. Play competitively if you wish to win bigger prizes! Up for grabs: high-powered gaming systems from Velocity Micro and Vigor crowned by two grand prize PCs valued at over $5,000 each.  The first leg of of the tournament will be hosted by Velocity Micro - check out the prizes and specs.

Match rules:

No team play.  This is a duel only -- 1v1 matches.

There is no spawn protection.

Telefragging is allowed.

Stock maps only.  Each map will have a 15 minute time Limit. First person to forty frags wins the map. Best 2 of 3 wins the match.


Keybinds are legal in FN provided they are not programmed to activate tweaks/hacks deemed illegal at FN. Keybinds of illegal tweaks/hacks are looked upon as a loaded cheat – used or not.

The only skins/models allowed in matches are "stock" skins/models. These are skins/models that came with UT originally or one of the subsequent bonus packs. Bright skins are not allowed.
    
Mouse Axis Adjustments: Mouse X and Y axis sensitivities may never be set or adjusted to values less than values lower than this creates a type of CV lock which is illegal.

Netspeed adjustments may be made to fine tune internet connections but should not be abused. FN deems netspeed values legal between the ranges of 5000 and 20000. Values, out of this range, Are considered an illegal tweak.


Penalties wil be processed on a case by case basis. In all cases the severity of advantage gained will be gauged against said penatlties.


Use of any form of graphic/game tweaks used to create an unfair advantage during play is illegal from the UT99 Ladders. This includes (but is not restricted to) Nosmoke tweaks,Noshadow tweaks, liltweak, Centerview tweaks, timers/HUD hacks. This list is not limited to just the above mentioned tweaks but anything else being used thats not been approved.


Match times must be reasonable in relationship to your opponent.


Declines / Ignores are set to "0" and every attempt must be made to work out match date / time via communication or risk a forfeit.

Any “tweaks” or “adjustments” made to a stock Install of Unreal Tournament detected will result in permenant banning from Destructoid for life, so don't do that!
