As seen on underaged boobs: Apparently there's a Fall Out Boy T-Shirt with four Japanese Smoking Robot figures on it [source withheld!].  Lucky us!  At least it's not a EmoBandname #32 shirt. Domestic takeovers aside, it seems that it is still very big in Japan. Seth visited the motherland of video games last year and snapped these amazing images of our crested cousin all around town. He writes:

I recently got back from Tokyo and thought you might be interested to know that Japan is currently in a Dtoid fit. I spotted the dtoid robot many times over, and when possible snapped it too. Many times they were inside some store or other place where photography wasn't allowed so didn't catch them all (so to speak).

The first was in a toy shop in Harajuku and was about $100. The others were in Hakone (in the mountains) and were advertising a toy museum. I'm particularly fond of the head in the tower. Very foreboding.
