Destructoid is gaming news, community, videos, and sometimes love. Take the tour or jump in with Facebook:

In our first chapter in our Boy and His Blob series, Forest, you got your first look at what gameplay would really be like, got to witness the epic glory of the hug button, and heard the boy's heartwarming voice for the first time. Yesterday, we shared the Swamp level, which apparently wasn't as interesting as the fact that I had googly eyes for developer Sean Velasco. I'll admit, I was a little starstruck, but you would be too if you got to hang out with the guy that made this game!

Today's installment shows off Blob's Caves level, in which Sean also shares how Majesco and WayForward came together to reimagine this classic title. It also depicts me getting a little more obsessed with how awesome Sean is and eventually proposing marriage to him while Dale North stares impassively into the distance. Scandalous! Hit the jump to see it all!

Can you make this series a million parts? I can't get enough of this game.

And people still say the Wii is not worth my money.

Boy's screams seem kinda annoying. "HEY! LIST-" Sorry, "HEY! BLOB!" But other than that, I can't wait for this one.

Amazing...Can't wait. These are the types of games that are gems that the Wii was made for.

@VGFreak1225

I disagree. His crackling voice is absolutely adorable.

@megaStryke

Adorable? Yes. Potentially annoying after a ten-hour game? Also yes.
I agree with you that it is flat-out choked-up grin inducing, but in a game that long, I'm not entirely convinced it won't get on my nerves. But I'm a person who wasn't annoyed by Navi, so I apparently am in the minority.(Although, I played TLoZ:OoT when I was like 13, so I'm probably not the best person to talk to about that.)

Twilight Princess was like... what... a forty hour game? I loved every time Midna opened her mouth. She was cute as a button.

I am pretty sure that Wayforward will tweak the audio voices so that it isnt
as loud and annoying. The game doesn't come out until October, so Im sure that the E3 demo (the videos) still has a ways of refinement to go before release. Also, Wayforward did Contra on teh DS which was awesome. They are a good developer, Im sure they consider feedback from the fans, so they relax everyone, I think they will tweak all of those little issues..I know it will be awesome, and they will make sure it wont be annoying after long hours of play.

I actually enjoy hearing the "HEY!" It's a nice touch compared to the blob just running to you. Though they could change it to a whistle.

I like how the header pic of beard-o there makes it look like he's jerking off while Collette whispers gently into his ear. Journalism!
