I never know how to handle these “appearance” posts. I don’t want to look like a tool by writing all about me (look , I’m on T.V.!), but at the same time, I don’t want to miss out on an opportunity to promote the legitimacy of Destructoid. See, it is already all about me. Ugh. Damn you, double-edged sword!
So, instead, I am just going to fill space by telling everyone how much I love them. Community, you are awesome. Fellow editors, you are the bee's knees. All the folks at GameTrailers TV, you are some of the coolest people ever (with extra props to producer Jeremy Hoffman and host Geoff Keighley). And scarecrowNiero, you are the most amazing of them all.

I haven't watched a video game news show on TV in at least a year. Last time I watched one it was just a bunch of testosterone monkeys talking about how stupid the Wii is (making fun of its name) and how awesome xbox 360 is - blah blah blah. Needless to say I was done with Video Game Shows, but this was really good. I mean, the PS3 got beat up a little, but they ddnt say anything that isn't true.
I think I will start watching this show if they continue to report it how it is. So hey, you snagged them at least one viewer who'd never even heard of their show before. You did the robot proud.
Man, that Marcus guy is a douche. "Freelance Writer"? More like nobody would hire his ass. "Oh lookit me, I'm British and snobby and yet still manage to be totally unfunny."
Man Chad, I'm so use to your bringing your retro know-how to the table, and it really does strike me out of the norm to see you discuss the more current events.

Anyone notice the very cool screw up on the show? When they were interviewing Major Nelson, they referred to his blog and they showed Destructoid instead. At least I think they said his blog.
@Wedge, anchorman84: My thoughts exactly on Marcus Beer. What a hater — he kept acting like he was too cool for school or something, and his seemingly anti-Nintendo and anti-Sony biases were annoying. While I don’t agree with Shane that Microsoft needs to worry about 2008, Beer’s other extreme — the Gabe Newell-esque talk of “if Sony doesn’t make it this year, they should just give up” — is also wrong.

I noticed that too Faith. I was like "Wait a second, Major Nelson doesn't write for Destructoid!". It would be awesome if he did though.
As for the show itself, I really hated it. Aside from pretty much sploodging my pants every time Chad said "amazing" or started talking about angry badgers, I had no idea what was going on. It's like a feature a minute. Seriously that little bit with Major Nelson was about 30 seconds.
Plus like Reaprar said, the guy is a cunting cunt.
Faith - You'll notice that the screen cap from Destructoid in the Major Nelson piece is all stories about Major Nelson. I was trying to show that he is the voice of XBL.
