Beta backDestiny beta is back online a day early, opened up for Xbox photo

Destiny's beta went down for maintenance yesterday. It was meant to come back on July 23, but it's back up right now, giving you something to do tonight. Me, I'm making ramen. Like, actual ramen, not an instant, 10 cent salt lick.

Bungie gave this statement. "We know you’ve been waiting, so we busted our asses to finish our chores up early. You can download and play the Beta right now. This is a great moment for the entire Bungie Community to share in this adventure, and we couldn't be more excited. Get in there. Break it. Tell us what you think. Share your experiences online."

Also remember there's that, "permanent reward on reserve that will commemorate the experience" for people who play on July 26, 2PM PDT. The beta closes the following day.

Badass with cerebral palsy beats Destiny's Crota with his feet

This awesome guy uses his feet to beat Destiny's Crota raid, on top of living with cerebral palsy. I'm pretty sure that makes him a badass. If you feel otherwise, come fight me.  The ending is the cutest thing ever when they finish the raid and give each other high fives; made me a little teary-eyed.  Boy with Cerebral Palsy defeats crota with feet! [reddit]more

Destiny will get one more update before the next expansion

The last update for Destiny was pretty great. I logged in to check it out, and promptly quit because there really isn't anything to do. Bungie is teasing the next update however (1.1.2), of which it isn't giving details ...more

Bungie adds support for moving Destiny items between characters online and in-app

Chalk this up to "it should have been in at launch," but you can now transfer items between characters in Destiny. The process isn't perfect though since it isn't in-game, but you can do it by way of the companion app or Bung...more

Samuel L. Jackson is the real Ghost we deserve

One of the many knocks against Destiny is its story -- I mean, if you can call it that. And after earlier versions of the game, there was a vocal group of gamers who suggested that Peter Dinklage, the loveable Tyrion Lannist...more
