It seems your dreams of being both Broadway star and pilot of Star-class transforming steam-powered Spirit Armor suits will have to wait just one more week, as Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love's release date has been pushed back from March 23rd, 2010 to March 30th, 2010.
Don't worry though, because as promised, it's coming to both the PS2 and Wii. The PS2 premium edition will come with a Japanese voiceover disc, poster, and art book, while the Wii edition will come at a highly agreeable $29.99 price point. That's a lot of value for when you do pick up the game! And you will pick up the game.
To tide you over until the day arrives, you can check out the opening movie below.
Put me in the camp as being slightly relieved it was delayed a week. I've been waiting for this game for a long time, but releasing it in March with so many other great games only hurts it. A week extra gives me more time to finish off the other games coming out this month.
God, there are too many good games coming out at one time, always. This, Fragile, Soul Silver, Infinite Space, SMT: Strange Journey...

In Japan, the Sakura Wars franchise is mentioned in the same breath as Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, and Zelda as one of the best series of all time.
I'm surprised nobody is talking it up.
