Despair, for Sakura Wars is pushed back a week photo

It seems your dreams of being both Broadway star and pilot of Star-class transforming steam-powered Spirit Armor suits will have to wait just one more week, as Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love's release date has been pushed back from March 23rd, 2010 to March 30th, 2010.

Don't worry though, because as promised, it's coming to both the PS2 and Wii. The PS2 premium edition will come with a Japanese voiceover disc, poster, and art book, while the Wii edition will come at a highly agreeable $29.99 price point. That's a lot of value for when you do pick up the game! And you will pick up the game.

To tide you over until the day arrives, you can check out the opening movie below.

I kind of appreciate the delay, since it will give me a bit more FFXIII time before this cones out!

And as always, people are still clawing at me for still defending the trailer, as always.

Yeah, there's no way I can finish all the good games that released recently, a little more time I can live with.

Just 5 comments? This game is certainly flying under the radar.

In Japan, the Sakura Wars franchise is mentioned in the same breath as Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, and Zelda as one of the best series of all time.

I'm surprised nobody is talking it up.

Put me in the camp as being slightly relieved it was delayed a week. I've been waiting for this game for a long time, but releasing it in March with so many other great games only hurts it. A week extra gives me more time to finish off the other games coming out this month.

That anime trailer is the stuff dreams are made of. Steampunk lives on Wii!

I can handle a week, but nothing better keep this game from coming out for some reason...

Agreed, if there's any month I can handle a game being delayed in, it's this March.

God, there are too many good games coming out at one time, always. This, Fragile, Soul Silver, Infinite Space, SMT: Strange Journey...

"There's far too much to take in. More to find than can ever be found. With the sun rolling high, sapphire sky, things great and small, on the endless round..."

Everybody!

I don't know if I can justify buying this at this time. I will need some convincing, but I'm not totally set in not buying this.

Also, @Matthew Blake: Screw you, HeartGold is where it's at. Ho-oh 4 lyfe.
