Designer vinyl artist Nathan Jurevicius brings Scarygirl photo

Most gamers may not know who Nathan Jurevicius is, but if you're a toy collector with a vested interest in designer vinyl, his name is a magical talisman. Jurevicius has created many memorable characters in his artwork. One of them, Scarygirl, is soon to get her own videogame thanks to the hard work of Touch My Pixel. There's a brand spanking new trailer of gameplay after the jump, so get to it and tell us what you think in the comments.

The game will be launching soon and will be completely free to play at the Scarygirl website. With designer vinyl giant Kidrobot rebranding Cartoon Network, the reach of the medium certainly seems to be widening. I can think of a few toy series right off the top of my head that would make great characters for a videogame, starting with Kathie Olivas' stellar Scavengers collection. The beautiful design just makes them no-brainers for a game with a great look.

Nice graphics, although i find it odd how a toy designer is now making video games.

I really like 2D platformers, and it's nice to see that developers are still working on making some really esthetically pleasing ones. This looks awesome. Can't wait to play it! :3

This makes me want to see Jeremy Fish game. Very cool to see a broader transition of art to video games.
