I just picked up this game last week, I've been working on my second play through and getting all of the trophies. I love it to death - to the point of obsession.

I've had this game for over 3 weeks, and I still haven't finished it, it might be the game that has taking me the longest to beat in this generation

White please, Dark tendency is so easy to get. Just die alot. I can't continue the Tower of Latria because I don't have White Tendency.
Come on people, black is easy to get. White on the other hand feels near impossible to get, and you usually only get one real shot at it per world. Why is black winning. =(

I am actually in that first group, I fear. Not because I hated the game--I was enjoying it, and got about 30 hours in. But then Uncharted 2 was released and ever since then I've been playing one great, more forgiving, game after another instead. And having a blast the whole time. Right now I'm enrapt by Mass Effect 2.
At this point I'm frankly wondering if I'm going to pick Demon's Souls back up again. The game is certainly good, and well-balanced, if tough and frustrating. But I think it's somewhat overpraised by some folks who want to sound like hardcore gamers.

I had a lot of fun playing this game... took me about two-three weeks to play it through as a thief/rogue. Game was challenging to say the least. I will say it is one of the best if not the best RPG I played. The online touches really add to the game play. When someone is helping you defeat a boss its a lot of fun.
Hint: make sure you level up the swords using certain demon souls makes it easier for the melee.
