The lesson here -- low expectations are awesome.
Also... what exactly makes Demon's Souls a roguelike?
In any event, I'm glad it outdid itself. It almost guarantees a sequel, and I love me some Demon's Souls.

Leave you trolling at the door please.

I mean I would rather have slow, steady but sure progress than ...
completely random chance.
A- madworld came out an entire year ago
B- the wii has like a brazillion users
C- the game isnt even out in europe
Second of all, the number isn't bad considering marketing dollars spent and the fact Demon's Souls was already on the Japanese market well before Atlus got their hands on it. Couple that the fact that it hasn't sold in Europe yet (although it will by Namco).
Point being, these numbers aren't bad when you put everything in the proper context.

You heard it here first (via Siliconera! - as with 40% of the news posted here :P)
I'm so glad its coming but with atlus having fucked the european market around so much after Buying demon souls I doubt Ill buy another game they publish. So I aint getting 3d Dot Game Heros. One sale they missed out on due to them publishing as if it was the nineties and it was a PS1 game.
"That's fantastic work! Now Men, swords and white sticky stuff at the ready, CHAAAARRRRGGEEEEEEEE!!!!!!"
To those still on the fence due to the butt-raping rumors about the game: Don't be afraid, it only hurts at first, but you learn the trick and enjoy it a lot.
And yes, it is indeed a big shame that Sony had their hand in this game, as it would indeed clean house on 360 (especially with the nature of gaming on,Live), despite its difficulty. Many 360 gamers have had the Ninja Gaiden games, which give a similar insane degree of difficulty. Didn't stop that selling so much, that it ended up getting a PS3 version.
A good game is a good game, and should be judge as such, on its merits, regardless of what its on.
