Wow, I am actually suppose to get my copy of Demon's Souls in the mail tomorrow. It looks like my first day of play will probably kick my ass even harder than expected.

If by "rewards" they just mean more souls than that's pretty whack. Make enemies drop pure stones... Now THAT would be something.

All that's happening is that Atlus is going to make the entire game's world tendency permanently black for the whole weekend. Thus, it's going to confer all the penalties and bonuses that Pure Black World Tendency usually gives; enemies are more powerful, more enemies, more AI black phantom enemies, and an increase in the power of player-controlled Black Phantoms along with a 10% or so drop in all player's Soul Form maximum health. In exchange you get almost double the soul drops and the chances of item drops, including rare item drops, increases dramatically. You'll probably also be able to easily find Primevil demons and Black Phantom NPC's to get their special drops, although I don't know that for sure. It'll also likely be impossible to get White WT events unless you switch the game to offline mode.

People looking for Pure Moonlight Stones; hunt Reapers in 4-2 during Pure Black World Tendency for about a 16% drop rate, or hunt Crystal Lizards in certain levels during Black World Tendency(I think the Crystal Lizard that spawns outside World 3's Archdemon room has a chance to drop them, but I'm not positive). Also, make sure your luck stat is high and that you are NOT using the Large Sword of Searching.

Hmm... I wonder if they are just gonna make all the worlds Pure Black World Tendency... if so, good time to farm ores.

Yay. hopefully this will mean that i can black my worlds online and then disconnect. That'd be nice.

I wasted a lot of stones of e. eyes before realizing that when you're online, your worlds always revert to the mean of what other players are doing, read neutral. :(

Rancor: I don't know how it's going to work on that level. Atlus just said they're going to "crank the WT down to black across the board" and that was it. I don't even know if you'll be able to get -out- of the Black WT if you're connected to the server, or if this version of the Black WT will even have the special NPC Phantoms or Primeval Demons (Hence why I said "probably").

If you want to do White WT events, you're best off just disconnecting from the server and doing it manually.
