Sony has announced that it's added a slew of games to its "Greatest Hits" line-up today, pricing them all at $29.99. The following titles should now be available at retail for your buying pleasure at the discounted "Greatest Hits" pricing:
The titles were deemed worthy of "Greatest Hits" status based on "an impressive sales threshold," which they sold a bunch of copies… and you may already have them. What, if any, of these games were you waiting on a price drop for?

Are we to assume Uncharted 2, Heavy Rain, etc. haven't had fantastic sales? I understand their reasoning, GOTY editions, Move, and such, but I find it odd nonetheless.
Why? Is it that much fun? I've never played any of the series. I haven't cared about platformers in years, I got my fill of them with the SNES and PS2. I have no interest at all in Mario, and never did. What about Ratchet & Clank makes it a must buy?

I might buy MAG at that price, or wail till it's used for $10.....actually I play BFBC2 too much and MoH is around the bend.
WhiteZombie pretty much summed it up. It's FUN! It looks fantastic and it plays fantastic. That's pretty much it. I think a lot of developers should go pay a visit to Insomniac so they too can learn how to put a bit of fun into their games.
If you really want to know what makes it excellent you need to read the review by Nick.
If you decide to get it you might want to start with the first one, Tools of Destruction. Which should be dirt cheap now. Then get Quest for Booty from the PSN store and finally play A Crack in Time. Which would mean you've got 3 excellent games for the price of 1.
I'm not that guy, you know him, the guy who like to cram games down someones throat. But... I'll make an exception for Ratchet & Clank, every time I get the chance!
I bought Tekken 6 off of Amazon for about $15 around when it launched, and ended up selling it back pretty quickly. Don't think I'll bother again until it's $10.
So, MAG is only a buy when it goes below $20 at this point.
Are they're any ones that stand out for PS3 and should be good for a sort of begginner like me?
