Demigod flaunts its epicness once more in some new screenshots photo
     DO WANT

Demigod, Gas Powered Games' twist on the classic Defense of the Ancients custom game type for Warcraft III isn't set to be released until February of next year, but I am already anticipating the RPG/RTS like no other.

I wasn't one-hundred percent sure on whether or not we ever posted the game's neat-looking box art here at Destructoid, so look out for that alongside a few new images in the gallery above.

My only complaint with the marketing behind the game is that we keep getting screenshots in place of videos. Now don't get me wrong, the screens are nice and all, but a game of Demigod's scope is meant to be seen in motion.

At this point, there's really only one thing left to say about Demigod: for the love of all things holy, please let it turn out okay!

I really want this game to be good, but their is a small voice in my head telling me it won't be and the lack of videos isn't helping.

Please God of Gaming, smile upon us this February.

Yes, I do worship a fictional deity, what of it?

Goddammit. Never have I been more at a loss for a good gaming PC than now. The hits just keep on coming with all of these kick-ass games coming out both this year and next. I never knew I could hate something and love it at the same time.

I'm almost embarrassed to admit I've never played DotA, even though it seems EVERYONE in Asia lurved it like Koreans love Blizzard (fitting since DotA was a Warcraft III mod, I think). I suppose Demigod is as good a place as any to start.

Is this the one that's being made by the same team that made the DotA map for Warcraft III? If so...

No it's not. It was only inspired by DotA

Shit, I still play dota every day. I think if they stick close enough to the Dota formula, and have half a brain, they can't screw up too bad.

The other game made by a few of the original DotA creators is called League of Legends. So if Gas Powered Games screws themselves up the ass, we can always have LoL to fall back on.

League of Legends is the game being developed by old DoTA developers.

http://leagueoflegends.com/

Icefrog (current main dev for DoTA) is not working on it. It's an old developer (Guinsoo) and the guy that did the dota-allstars.com website, if I remember right.

Well, actually there's a trailer around...
I had a chanche to talk with Chris Taylor and he assured it was all ingame footage, just recorded using different cameras to make it "cooler"...
And it looks like one of my next buy, if it turns out as it seems to be...
