Delay on Ghostbusters was to max out the creepy factor photo

We already know that Terminal Reality's Ghostbusters has been pushed back to a June 2009 release, but originally the game was supposed to come out this Christmas. Why the delay? According to Terminal Reality's Drew Haworth, the wait was all about maxing out the creep factor. He commented to CVG that the move to Atari allowed them to work on the cutscenes and pacing, resulting in a focus on the "player experience".

This is cool to hear, don't get me wrong -- I'm always happy to hear that a company is pouring effort into a title --  but the Ghostbusters films seem to be more successful because of their comedy elements. Even as a kid, I don't remember being scared by any of it. Here's to hoping that element doesn't get lost in the focus to make the game scary, because a good balance of both seems like it would be best.

My god did I hate that goddamn game. That was a perfect example of a bad game that was too difficult. I remember a bad design for the fact that you had to beat it four times or so before you even got to the proper end of it.

Great now If I can max out the extreme amount of stupidity it will take to purchase when of these games and focas it into a major force strength to pick up the box like a monk and his CHI.

Then having the "cutscenes and pacing" function might help it not totaly suck.

But that will never happen since I still don't care about cheep licensed products like this.

When I was a kid I was scared crapless by Ghostbusters. Especially the zombie jogger ghost. Made me cry every time.

The only thing I remember that really scared the heck out of me was the Ghostbusters II's talking wall-paint effect. That face was horrendous.
