Hidden Path Entertainment is bringing their highly addictive tower defense game to Xbox LIVE Arcade in two weeks. Defense Grid: The Awakening is going to go for 800 MS Points on September 2, and the port will see some additional content such as four new levels and 12 challenge modes.
We reviewed the PC version of Defense Grid when it came out and liked the game a lot. The $20 price point was a little hard to swallow but if the controls transition well to the XBLA port, than I think Defense Grid could definitely be worth the purchase.
After the break, you can check out the new trailer for Defense Grid with some very... interesting review quotes. Anyone interested in picking up the game when it's released on September 2?
Hamza Aziz, Destructoid's Community Director, has been here since day one. He was born when a tiger coughed up a hairball into a pool of ooze. He was one of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before budget cuts. Hamza works as a previews editor and manages a team in San Francisco. To date he has given away tens of thousands of dollars in prizes to readers. What a dick. Actually, Hamza is as kind as he is hairy.

What XBL really needs is a game where I can play as Mr. Destructoid(himself) and run around side-scrolling 2d maps whilst shooting editors and community peeps with halucinogenic darts and ghost riddin'whips, all set to an amazing soundtrack.
Why fuck this game? Fuck you, buddy!! I would totally buy YOU as a game, and trade in to Gamestop immediately after one weekend!!!
YAAAAAAA! I love this game! I'm in the top 50 on most of the Steam/PC levels, one of the best TD games I've ever played! Can't wait to see the new shit. Hopefully this does well so we can get a sequel...or at least an SDK for PC so we can get some sweet mods...
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
