Dee Jay pummels Rufus in new SSFIV images photo

Super Street Fighter IV is coming, and it’s sort of a big deal -- especially for fans of the kickboxer Dee Jay. Earlier this morning, Capcom released around seven or so images of the character in action, specifically featuring him brutalizing Rufus. A lone screen shows the man doing his spin-thing on the floor -- a totally MAXIMUM move.

But that’s not entirely all. Featured in the gallery below, you’ll see a few images of two other confirmed characters: T.Hawk and the lovely Juri, a digital girl whom Topher Cantler -- and perhaps even the mighty Google -- has fallen in love with.

Hit the gallery to see some Dee Jay and don’t forget to tell us what you think.

Dee Jay's got fans? I couldn't tell, seems like everyone hates him for no apparent reason. He seems like cool people to me.

Still, JURI.

I always found Dee Jay kind of an innocently-racist caricature, what with the huge grin and all of that shuckin'-'n-jivin'.

However, he does kick copious amounts of ass, so that totally cancels that aspect out.

Plus, where DOES he keep those maracas stashed away? Or should I not even ask?

"kind of" is pretty tame in comparison to other stereotypes in the series. E.Honda, Dhalsim, even the new El Fuerte. I wouldn't call them racist so much as innocent, stereotypical caricatures.

Its tricky, considering the caricatures, since they're more ore less trying to represent an entire nationality with one or two characters. Mostly harmless fun, because its kind of a concession in fighting/competition games where there are national representatives for fun.

Faaaaaaaaap! I hope Dee Jay still has his touch of death combo. I think I saw it in the trailer but I'm not sure.

It's with everyone, really. T. Hawk better still drop down and say "HOW" when he wins, just to keep it insensitive. I don't find it offensive in the least, I find it funny as hell. I'm surprised that Rose doesn't have a Mario-esque Italian accent.

But still, Dee Jay is a badass.
