Death Road, simply put, is a “futuristic racer” set to hit the Xbox 360 (probably XBLA) at some undetermined time in the, erm, future. While we’re short on official paper description, we aren’t on video. After the break, you can watch Death Road in motion. It has F-Zero flavor, which makes me a very happy man.
Surprisingly, there isn’t a single death in the video. But the roads, at least, look evil. Check out that color. And hey, who knows, perhaps these things are really death roads. One never sees a Venus-Sarlacc-pit until it’s too late.
If you were wondering, the title is being developed by the folks at Bloober -- the same cats responsible for Last Flight on the Wii. They’re Polish, so give them a break on the spelling mistake. These things hapen.
extreme g was the sh*t back in the day. miss that generation...
anyway, this looks like an answer to wipeout. something i have to point out point out is the sense of speed lacking. it would be nice to see this turn out to be a wipeout/burnout type game.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Thanks Brad!
