Deadly Creatures deals with a double delay photo

If you’re an older Wii owner, you may have been keeping an eye on Deadly Creatures, a game that has always seemed to me like it didn’t belong on the decidedly family-friendly console (except, of course, for its motion controls). The brawler/thriller, in which you play as a tarantula and a scorpion, was originally scheduled for release on Halloween, but was pushed back to a mid-December bow.

Now, IGN is reporting that the game won’t ship until February of next year. It’s probably for the better, since gamers are surely busy with all of the great games that have come out in the past few months. More development time never hurt a game, and neither did “breathing room” in terms of a glut of games. I’m certainly still looking forward to Deadly Creatures!

But if your interest has at all been piqued by this game, be sure to check out my preview of an early build from June, and Nick’s hands-on impressions from April. There’s even more information on the Rainbow Studios-developed, THQ-published title’s official Web site.

I heard about this earlier. There's goes a part of my Christmas list.

Still looking forward to this a lot though, since it looks kick ass and I need another game to play on my Wii.

Yay! This means just one more game not coming out in the holidays, and one more for me to buy during the games drought!

I actually don't mind that they are delaying it, I have tonnes of games to play as it is, and maybe this will mean that there will actually be a good Wii game.

I was hoping to be part of the QA Team for Deadly Creatures before I left THQ but I was put on Lock's Quest instead, which was still a badass game. Yeah that game came along way...I don't remember all that blood and gore the last time I saw that game...Can't wait to pick it up...Good job guys on the hard work...

The game looks good, and interesting as well. So if it needs the extra time than they should just take it to make the game right. It will probably be better served in February over mid-Dec anyway. Its yet another good looking 3rd Party game to add to the 2009 list for Wii. Which is a good thing because the list is getting longer, and longer as each week goes by!
