Looking for that perfect present for the domineering and bloodthirsty war monger in your life? Well, Spike Games has the answer to your prayers in Deadliest Warrior: Ancient Combat for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

The retail game will actually be a compilation of the previous downloadable releases on XBLA and PSN, Deadliest Warrior: the Game and Deadliest Warrior: Legends. Included on the disc will also be all of the currently available content packs for the games, as well as some exclusive content that can only be found on the retail copy; such new game modes and new weapons.

To the best of my knowledge, I don't believe that the previous two Deadliest Warrior titles did all that well on their own. But bundled together in this pack and releasing in December, I'm sure this will make the holiday wishlist of at least a few fans of the show.

I played the demo for the first deadliest warrior game, Ninja v Spartan. Sure it was unbalanced (the Spartan could often win by tapping circle first thing and getting a javelin headshot), but it was fun.

it really is the last chance to cash in on DW. the first couple seasons were master-classes in "retarded but great" TV, recently it's fallen off, now only "retarded" i guess.

Come on guys the games don't look THAT good.
But depending on the price tag I might pick this up.

I agree the show is a bit silly but nobody with Nerd in their blood can deny it's awesome.

I have Legends on PSN, it's simple and unbalanced but incredibly fun, especially when playing around with zombie and slice modes. (Zombie mode makes it so you can't die until you lose all of your limbs, so it usually ends up with one person being a pelvis and leg hopping around, and slice mode makes it so any unblocked hit results in a limb being lost.)
