This isn't the first time Dead Space Extraction has been mentioned as getting ported to Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStation Network in some capacity -- here's the proof! Whereas last time it was a simple survey gauging interest in such an idea, this time we have something more bulletproof to work with.
A rendering engineer at EA Montreal listed the aforementioned port on his resume. Of course, since nothing has been officially announced quite yet -- E3, perhaps? -- the listing has since been taken down. Thankfully, our wonderful Google overlords have our back on this one.
Having unfortunately never gotten around to picking up the Wii version, I'd be inclined to get a digital, HD-ified port assuming it supported Natal and PlayStation Move. Otherwise, no thanks.

"bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
I have the Wii version already and it was a blast. My only real complaint was that the game was over before I wanted it to be. So I played through it again, and then the extras. It's also nice for an afternoon of multiplayer with a friend.
I really like the work that EA has been doing lately so hopefully this will do well for them.
u be dumb!!!!!!!!!!!E
Wasn't there a House of the Dead 4 port for 360 announced years ago... and dissapointingly seems to have died.
Sounds too plausible to me.....nope. It has to be the lack of "core" on the wii right ea?
I'd definitely think about checking it out if it was cheap and didn't require turning on my Wii.
Cadtalfryn pretty much said everything else I was gonna say.
Then again, I think it was my own fault for having my hopes too high...
- It will tank much like it did on the Wii.
- It will sell mildly well, prompting the aforementioned HD fanboys to claim that they were right while ignoring the fact that the price difference (50$ for Wii owners, 15$ most likely for XBLA/PSN) probably played a big part in that.
But yeah, I wouldn't be too excited if you had to use a pad for this.
some people do not understand that "Casual gammers = hard core gammers" all of the people that I know that play video games casually play Halo, COD, Army of Two, Gears of War, Resistance, and many other games.
It is not because those games are "Hard Core" that people like them, It is because they all have great controls, very few glitches, easy to pick up and play, hard to master, simple yet very effective menu system, well thought out multiplayer, and concepts that may blow you mind.
And when you compare that to Super mario Brothers on the Nintendo Entertainment System ( or any good game on that system ) you would see that all those details are just the same.
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS "HARD CORE" IT WAS A TERM MADE BY SEGA TO MAKE NINTENDO LOOK LAME
You can make a game on the wii that looks "photo realistic" that completely blows the competitors away graphically with "amazing" voice acting , but if that games controls, concept, and gameplay sucks or does not live up to what it was meant to be no one will buy that game as such to Dead Space Extraction.
I would have been much happier with a HL2 port
And are we all forgetting the PS3 has a legit lightgun? Why in the hell would you use Move when you could snag a Guncon 3 online for probably about 10 or 15 bucks? If this doesn't support the GC3 on PS3, I'm not buying it. And unfortunately, 360 doesn't have anything that would make this even remotely playable, so no sale there either.
Hate to say it, but the Wii is where this game belongs, and where it needs to stay.
@Jonathan Holmes
let it go jon, the game was great
also, LOL @ everyone saying this would "suck on Natal" when you know next to nothing about it. Maybe it will, maybe it won't. How could anyone say until we really know more about it? I mean who's to say that Natal can't work with accessories like lightguns? You don't know yet.
If Natal was supposed to work with accessories, they would have shown accessories already. I'm not going to point my finger at the screen to shoot aliens.
