EA, are you really going to make more money buy narrowing your audience? Fail hard, EA. You fail hard now.

@x1251
that's a great point. The whole "this is now an action game" turn for the series makes absolutely no sense, since the game is already way too similar to Resident Evil/Gears of War as it is. So let EA turn shit profits on a shitty sequel...
So now that the game won't be nearly as good, maybe it will sell better.
That makes sense, right?
Mass Effect 2 inside joke aside, how can you pass judgment on something you have neither played nor seen gameplay for? Making wild assumptions just makes you look like a huge dickhead and makes me want to alleviate your gene pool with industrial strength bleach. Guess what guys? If you don't like the way Dead Space 2 is going, then don't FUCKING BUY IT!! What a novel idea.
I personally like what EA is doing with their franchises, they are taking chances by altering formulas and creating new IPs, but let me tell you that I would prefer that a hell of a lot more than what shit company ActiVison is doing, which is pumping out Guitar Hero and Call Of Duty sequels similar to the amount of times a Planned Parenthood mother goes to an abortion clinic.
So in closing. Stop complaining, you don't like it, no one is forcing you to buy the fucker.
Show me a console that can run Crysis 1 on high and I'll believe the PC 'cannot handle' action oriented gameplay.

I just hope they don't have the same plan for Mirror's Edge 2 :C
Best is to make games for PS3 (pirateproof) and Xbox (the xbox live banning helped and games are easy presents from parents for christmas and birthdays)
i don't intend to play DS2, though. They're taking out the horror, which was what made DS good. it's like taking the engine out of a car. so even if i didn't have an XBox, i wouldn't be losing out on anything.
"Meh."
What's even the point of using this meme?
"Dead Space is one of those games I can't imagine playing on PC.
Why not? Worked great for me. Controls were perfect.
Anyway, I used a mouse and keyboard despite all that and it was perfectly fine.
Hmm, I'll deny it right now. PC port really was surprisingly not that bad. I've seen a lot worse. (Resident Evil 4 and Devil May Cry 4, for instance)
What problems did you have? I really did not have a single issue because of it being a port.
I think you have the V-sync glitch which fucks up your controls. Just disable it and all is good.
You can't be a PC gamer and be too thick to google an issue and find the abrudly easy solution. That's like being a gardener and refusing to go outside.
As for Dead Space 2, I bet this is miscommunication. I could be wrong, who knows, but EA ports most games that make sense for PC and Dead Space 2 makes sense for PC.
do you not know what a meme is?
"Meh" is definitely a meme. You can debate whether or not it's an internet created meme or not. That's up for debate. But there's no question it is in fact a meme.
If you don't understand why it is and wanna know.. message me and I'll be more then happy to enlighten you.
You know, the one where they added DX11 support to it, like should be in a good PC port?
Say, around 2007 I changed from consoles to the PC as the primary platform (I still have some consoles) just because I was tired of games like Dead Space. In fact, tired of this double action-sport that dominates.
I wonder. It should be other PC gamers that must have made the same choice. Which explains the low sale of games like Gears of War and Dead Space on PC.
I mean, I've probably never seen an official definition of the word, but I think I've picked up enough context clues over the years to figure it out. Maybe I've been wrong this whole time, but one informal slang word that has risen in popularity recently doesn't fit the definition of "meme" that I've had in my head.
dead space did not play well for me on PC. aiming was sluggish, and i had lots of CTDs. funnily enough i had no problems at all with DMC4 which not only played at a spectacular framerate (especially considering the excellent visuals and fast gameplay) but also offered game modes that weren't in the console version. pretty much the definition of a good port IMO, which is unsurprising considering that it's the console versions that are technically ported.
also, meh. not fussed about the DS sequel anyway as i didn't like the first one.
As for people complaining about action over horror with this game, okay, we get it, action bad, horror good. This isn't the story about that, it's about platform release plans.
just for laughs i actually googled "Dead Space PC's controls" and found forum posts, news articles and reviews all saying the same thing: the PC controls suck.
Obviously, you're some kind of gaming prodigy so I dare not upset a mighty god of vija games like yourself. My appologies, god have mercy on my soul. I truly hope you have fun living in that narrow bubble of yours.
And it just isn't. I played it on 360 originally and it was a very comfortable game on the controller.
