With that I need to go change my pants now.
Plasma with necromorph wings sounds slightly off. Be it's ok. I mean, at least it's not some "this is the new shit" shite from DAO two years ago.
The set pieces do look badass though.
The demo seemed to have everything I could ask out of this. Tweaked graphics. Nothing was vastly changed control-wise, only tweaked to feel smoother. Still made me feel like a sissy. And there look to be plenty of moments where I'll be shouting "Did that seriously just happen?! FUCK YEAH!". Even with all this, I'll probably still be hesitant to let my guard down until I play it myself.
I can assure you that playing through Ignition is a hell of a lot more difficult than most games on the hardest settings, unfortunately, not for the right reasons, and this is coming from someone who both preordered DS2 and actually wasted the money on Ignition because Gamestop claimed the codes were being released with the game. =/
GT: nz2
"Dead Space" completion: 1000/1000g
Other than that though, this game looks amazing.
Without hyperbole, this will obviously be one of the greatest games of all time, but I guess even that doesn't save it from having a lame-ass trailer like this one.
Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness:
"Tonight, Tonight"
"Zero"
"Bullet with Butterfly Wings"
"Bodies"
"1979"
"X.Y.U."
"We Only Come Out at Night"
"Lily (My One and Only)"
Adore:
"Ave Adore"
Lost Highway OST
"Eye"
Batman & Robin OST
"The End is the Beginning is the End"
Watchmen OST
"The Beginning is the End is the Beginning"
*cough*
I know, which is why I did just that before commenting. You saying this pop-rock, press-quote, "two thumbs-up" joke of a trailer is not at odds with the subtle, moody spots released with the first installment? It helps if you actually watch the trailer.
@nz2
Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness was an utter waste of a 2-disc release. Three half-good songs on two discs is a waste of everyone's time and money. The rest of your list is drek, especially 1979, which is one of the worst songs ever written and recorded in this universe and all others.
