Currently on level 10 on impossible of DS1. Gonna try to finish it tonight and then maybe get through Ignition. So pumped! SE preordered.

This trailer makes it seem as if Issac is hallucinating everything that is going on around him, and is just attacking random civilians.
Hopefully the game doesn't jettison the "horror" half of it's supposed action-horror genre.

I REALLY hope Dead Space 2 turns out to be everything I'm hoping for. I absolutely loved the first one (Of course there were the things I didn't like, such as the almost unusable melee). Over the years, it's just become hard not to become cynical over sequels.
The demo seemed to have everything I could ask out of this. Tweaked graphics. Nothing was vastly changed control-wise, only tweaked to feel smoother. Still made me feel like a sissy. And there look to be plenty of moments where I'll be shouting "Did that seriously just happen?! FUCK YEAH!". Even with all this, I'll probably still be hesitant to let my guard down until I play it myself.

why is isaac a little whiny? in Dead Space 1 he barely scream(he only yells when he's being attack by the necromorph) when an enemy suddenly appears. i don't know i kinda like him more when's he's more calm and conservative.

I can assure you that playing through Ignition is a hell of a lot more difficult than most games on the hardest settings, unfortunately, not for the right reasons, and this is coming from someone who both preordered DS2 and actually wasted the money on Ignition because Gamestop claimed the codes were being released with the game. =/

Lol that sucks I actually did the same thing. They didn't give me the code when I first preordered it so I bought it. Wow that's too bad about ignition, I know its very mediocre I'm just hoping I can earn the DS2 suit from it.
The DS2 demo was one of the few instances where a demo actually changed my mind completely about wanting to buy a game. Now, I have to have it.
@tigervomit Pfft! Try getting the "One Gun" [Beat the game using only the Plasma Cutter] and the "Epic Tier 3 Engineer" [Complete the game on the hardest difficulty setting] achievements in the same run! Now that was a fun [replay] session!

The good talk about dead space 2 made me buy dead space 1. I love living behind the hype, discounts everywhere!
Isaac sounds like a bitch. He had the manliest scream in DS1; anyone know if they used the same voice actor? Not to mention the voice acting sounds terrible.

I'm crap at horror games because I'm a giant pansy and I get too scared to play. My housemate got DS1 a couple of years back and even just watching someone else play, it was intense. I thought I'd try the demo for this, even though I don't plan on buying it, and I barely managed to finish it. It was really good - the controls seem a lot tighter and the zero-g section was awesome - but it scared the shit out of me. Maybe I'll just watch someone play it instead...
Seems at odds with the atmosphere-setting, creepy-ass "twinkle twinkle" rendition that was synonymous with videos/trailers of the first one. Plus, Billy Corgan hasn't been responsible for a quality song since Siamese Dream's release in '93.
Without hyperbole, this will obviously be one of the greatest games of all time, but I guess even that doesn't save it from having a lame-ass trailer like this one.

Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness was an utter waste of a 2-disc release. Three half-good songs on two discs is a waste of everyone's time and money. The rest of your list is drek, especially 1979, which is one of the worst songs ever written and recorded in this universe and all others.
