We know they exist, but publisher Electronic Arts has been skimping on telling us exactly when to expect them. Now we know that Dead Space 2 and Crysis 2, two of the publisher's biggest hardcore sequels, are on course for a FY2011 release.
The Fiscal year runs from April 1, 2010 to March 31, 2011. In that period you can expect to see Medal of Honor Reboot, EA Sports MMA, a new Need For Speed, a console Sims, Dead Space 2 and Crysis 2 in that period of time. Quite the stacked year.
Unfortunately, EA isn't going to be more specific than that, but it looks like quite a good mix of games to appear to everybody. Which EA game are you looking forward to most, if indeed you're looking forward to any at all?

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Also Crysis was kinda bad, so can't say I look forward to it to be quite honest.
With that said it is probably my favorite survival horror game of this generation, and I am really looking forward to the second. Not sure if many people know but the new GameInformer said that Dead Space 2 is set on a massive space station that was designed for colonies to live on; so it has facilities, hospitals, schools, parks, etc. The different scenarios alone have me interested.
As for Crysis, it was honestly a decent game. Many flaws, sure, but a solid action/stealth experience in a semi-open world. If they can improve on what they had in the first, not have every single encounter be "6 packs of guards and a hut with a jeep near it", have some more customization options for the weapons, maybe some more indoor segments to contrast the open landscapes.
So far, my moneys on Dead Space 2. Phew /rant.
Dead Space 2, however, I am looking forward to...
Seriously? I have beaten Crysis like 7 times already and maybe I'll do it once again (and that I haven't played Warhead yet). It's a game like no other, how is that people has forgotten it? the whole thing still feel fresh.
On topic: the two delays are fine for me, more time to improve the final products, and whit other so GREAT titles coming out this year... I don't want an oversaturation.
Only niggle i had was some of the silly tools-as-weapons designs. How many roatry-saws need a fly-by-wire, hovering-blade, cut-10ft-away mode?
Anyway, Bring on the Necromorphs!
