Dead Rising, Lost Planet, and Devil May Cry 4 for $40? Sold! photo

Starting on September 8, you can save a good $20 by purchasing Dead Rising, Lost Planet: Colonies Edition, and Devil May Cry 4 together in one Capcom lovefest bundle that's making it to retail at $39.99.

Now is as good of time as any to pick up these fine wares, if you ask me. I happen to be one of the few humans on this planet that didn't fall head over heels for Dead Rising (I still liked it; don't kill me!), but it would be hard even for me to turn down at this price.

I couldn't tell you how well Lost Planet has aged, but I remember enjoying my time with it during launch. As for Devil May Cry 4, sure, it needed more Dante, but it wasn't horrible or anything. It's also got to be one of the few current gen games in my collection with a frame rate above 30, which is a major plus.

And greatness? It's earned.

Considering that I have yet to play any of these game, this deal is money.

Wow, that's... really good. If they did one of these for the Wii with Dead Rising Wii, Zack and Wiki and maybe one of the Resident Evil games, I bet they'd clean up. If and when I ever get a 360, this sounds like a great place to start.

I already have Dead Rising unfortunately. I don't know if $40 for Lost Planet and DMC4 is worth it. What do you guys think?

DMC4 is well worth the price alone, that game was as good if not better than DMC3 in my opinion (and that says alot, coz DMC3 was fucking incredible)

Where is this pack being sold? Games on-demand?

I still need to check out Dead Rising, but I've already got Lost Planet and I'm not interested in Devil May Cry, so while this is a pretty sweet deal, I'll be passing it up.

As someone else said, a must for any new Xbox 360 owner. Dead Rising is still a highlight of that console years later.

I got Lost Planet on PC and it's a very underrated game in my opinion... great graphics and good shooting action, though the story is lame.

Never played DMC4... not really my kind of game, but I hear it is excellent if you like those games.

Lost Planet is quite a good game, not amazing, but assuredly worth a play through, but like StingingVeltet said you should do your best to ignore the braindead story. It's multiplayer is really fun but filled with an army of problems that Western shooter devs have learned over their decades of making them, so LP's multi is filled with problems like:

-Rolling makes you invincible
-Uncontrollable movement animation (eg: like stumbling)
-You get 10-15(!) Grenades by default rather than 2-3. Grenade spam on the smaller maps is horribly common place.
-A frontal hit interrupts any action including shooting back.
-One must stop moving in order to change weapons.

Still the multi is a lot fun, especially Akrid Hunter and on the big maps with VS suits. Broken but fun.

I don't have any of these games but I'm interested in all of them, so this is an awesome bundle for me!

Both Dead Rising and Lost Planet are about to get sequels (focused on Co-op, no less!)... Perhaps we can infer from this a DMC5 is in pre-production?!

I'll chime in with everyone else about how this is a mandatory purchase for those just getting a 360, or those who don't own the games. DMC4 is an incredible action game (superior to NG2, I'd say), Lost Planet is a very solid 3rd-person-shooter, and Dead Rising is a must-have for any fan or horror or zombies!

Was Lost Planet really that good? Never hear anyone actually talk about it.

@zerofaults

it was decent in almost everything it did. Its a good game for $20 but no reviewer could really tell people to get it for $60.

If only I didn't own 2/3 of these games this would be a steal. great for late 360 adopters.

How is this packaged? Is it 3 dvd cases together wrapped in a cardboard sleave...like to get existing copies off the shelves, or is it in one case like the new Oblivion/Bioshock bundle?

gaaah. I want DMC4 and that's it, really. I can find it a lot cheaper than this deal too. :( played Dead Rising once (360 ofc), it was okay I guess. Lost Planet just didn't feel right for me. still, the sequel's looking really good. :]

pass. :/

I see a lot of game companies doing this more and more. It's clearly a good business model to have multiple older games packed together for the price of one. Expect more of it happening in the future.

Oh and expect Michael Pachter to come out and say something like this was "his idea" too.

Yeah thats a pretty good pack. The cheapest I have seen DMC4 is 20 bucks pre played at block buster. Dont have a 360 but if I did I would probably pick this up even though I dislike open world games, hate the controls for Lost planet and already beat DMC4.

Dead Rising IMO is the best 360 exclusive there is, and one of the best most original games of this generation.

DMC4 was good until it makes you play the entire game over with another character, making the game pretend it's twice as long.

And Lost Planet was pretty fun, too bad it pretty much had the stupidest plot of this generation, even if you turn your brain off you'll probably still get confused and or face palm by the end.

My local Blockbuster, EB and pawn shop had all 3 of these titles for around 7-10 a pop. $40 is a great deal for sealed games, but you can find better.

I played Lost Planet and mostly liked it, except for the part at the end which got really retarded. The final level sucked ass. I tried the demo for Dead Rising and liked it. Devil May Cry 4 is something I don't care about.
