If you've been to a shopping mall lately, you might be able to relate to Frank in this gameplay video of Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop. Sure, a zombie-infested shopping mall is worse than Black Friday, but only slightly.

This new video gives us a really good look at what we can expect from gameplay. There may not be as many zombies, but it still looks like a lot of fun. I will say that I can already tell that I'll hate that clown fight. Waggle to duck? Something tells me that it's not going to work how I'd expect it to.

One thing that concerns me happens about fifty seconds into the video. It seems that most of the zombies are performing the same scratching/twitching animation. What is this, a Michael Jackson video?

NO FAIR! 360 owners don't get zombie parrots! WTF?!! C'mon!

In all seriousness,
I feel really bad for those who don't get to experience the real game. This gimped version looks 100% awful. *shudder*

This game is like 2 years old... by now, most Wii owners have gotten 360s and most likely this game, it's pretty cheap now.

Also, this looks like a Tuesday morning at the mall or something. Look out for mallwalkers!!!

I'm one of those Wii owners who was waiting for this game but ended up buying a 360 (and the 360 version of the game). Ack, it looks pretty lame compared to the 360. The controls might be alright, though. Wiimote it good for these types of games.

I'm surprised there is blood... it is on the Wii after all.

I'm still not entirely convinced this will be terrible. Keep in mind, I never say anything about it being good either.

This doesn't look as bad as I thought it would.

Of course, I already have it for the 360, so I won't be buying it agian, but still. I'm pleasantly surprised that it's not looking too terrible.

On the 360 version you could have a good game of "where's Wally".

With this version it is more like, wheres the zombies hiding.

that mall was certainly not infected on black Friday and it looks more like that mall in china that never even opened and is deserted.

P.S. Have they changed the save system for this version?

It runs on the Resident Evil 4 engine, and using quick flicks of the Wii remote for quicktime events worked out just fine in that, so I see no problem with ducking/dodging. Problems with other things, sure, but not that.

Why, Capcom WHY? This looks really horrible. The katana doesn't even decapitate the zombies!! What made them think the casual market wanted zombie-killing? Damnit, they need to just get working on Dead Rising 2.

The Zombies are all hiding.... reminds me of that scene in I Am Legend where the zombies pop up and scare Will Smith. Of course, i wonder if t he less zombies make this game easier?

Empty mall is empty.

Wow that was awful.

My favorite part of the trailer was the Al Fresca area, 2 zombies maybe? And that area with a bunch of them, 30 tops.

You know what's funny? For $235 dollars you can buy a 360, Dead Rising and a refurbished 20 gig HD of MS. That's less than a wii.

Meanwhile this ultra gimped version will cost 40.

Time limit's gone so there go under the wire moments or just the feeling DR had of ALWAYS having something to(seriously, try to do all missions and cases with a level 1 Frank, you'll never be be bored), tiny amount of zombies.

Well, at least the survivors seem a bit smarter as they crouched when he aimed at them but I also noticed one survivor a bit to far from Frank.

Good enough for people who never played the 360 version I guess.

Wow, that looked a hell of a lot better than it did a few months ago. Still haven't seen the 100 zombies on screen that Capcom promised, but it's better than the 6-10 that were in the screenshots from the last few months.

I think what some people fail to understand is that this game is for people who didn't like Dead Rising that much, for the people that got bored with being forced to plow through hundreds of mostly harmless zombies over and over again, who got annoyed with being forced to keep so many god damn appointments, who found the game's controls to be frustrating, the escort missions to be a pain, etc etc.

Dead Rising on the 360 is already there for people who like Dead Rising on the 360. This game is for the rest of us.

It looks better, which is a good thing.
I really wish they brought it to the PS3, instead, but it looks like it's worth a rental.

This made me think about how much I enjoyed this game on the 360 and how much I'll enjoy never having to play it on the Wii.
