Dead Rising 2 won't be at E3 photo

Dead Rising 2 will not be shown at E3 this year. Capcom recently confirmed the game’s no-show status to OXM UK, citing swine flu as the reason. Apparently, the entire Japan branch of Capcom is staying home to avoid American germs.

Cough.

I’ve got an idea, Capcom. Just fly me out to see the game. I’m young, sculpted, and in perfect health. I really enjoy killing (digital) zombies and, perhaps most importantly, I haven’t been sick since I was a toddler. Think about it.

Maybe they're scared that our attempts to increase beef production will cause some kind of international incident.

Woo hoo! Excited. The way they made the zombies look is pretty awesome now that I look at it.

This is so ironic...coming from the people who single handedly keep the scat market alive in this world...

What the hell, Capcom. Are you afraid that a few bunch of undead participants gonna besmirch your company just because they have some 'minor' flu-like symptons such as:

-eating brains
-speech impediment
-weak motor function
-breaking out 'Thriller' dance moves at inappropriate times

For shame, Capcom.

SHAME!

I think they're doing this to protect themselves from bad press. If actual zombies are formed as a result of or near this game's promotion at a large event, think of the media backlash that would ensue. The games industry doesn't need any more of that.

Haha, this is stupidly funny. I mean, really. Come on. Swine flu is scaring these guys. When was the last time we heard about people with swine flu. This is just silly and fear mongering.

Besides, didn't a western developer make Dead Rising 2? Oh, right, they did.

Japan is SO fucking paranoid of Swine Flu. They've had like less than 10 cases, all reported in Osaka, and the entire country is freaked out and public gatherings have turned into ghost towns.

And pharmacies all over are sold out of face masks.

well that sucks but what can ya do? I'd rather capcom relaxed and make the game than be all stressed about swine flu possibilities.

But still couldn't they do a remote press conference or something to present their games?
