I found Dead Rising 2 to be enough Dead Rising for a while to come, but there are plenty of you craving more of the series' particular brand of zombie mayhem. Nick has told us about Dead Rising 2: Off the Record a few times now, and if you were waiting on the price tag, then here you are.
The game is going to be $39.99 in North America at launch, reveals executive producer Jason Leigh in a chat with Eurogamer. Realistically, this is what it needed to be, and it's nice to see Capcom didn't try to get away with anything more. (That said, $29.99 would've been oh so sweet.)

The entire campaign is re-imagined with Frank West, meaning what was old is now fresh again. There are new weapons, combos, locations, missions, etc...
40$ sounds good to me.

Great comment, but I partially disagree. Just because the intended demographic bought super street fighter, doesnt't mean I did, or anyone else who didn't like the game at that price and commented on it. And just because the weapons and locales are refreshed in DR2:OtR, does not mean any real big innovations were made, in relation to DR2. I'd say a $30 price count is fair to all parties, and 40 is just a little reaching.
Most of my friends, however, would not. So hopefully this lower price will be introduced for everyone, meaning I have someone to play co-op with...
I am happy they realized that people wouldn't pay full for it though, I give them a lot of credit for that.
@any one saying its just DLC
Its not DLC, its supposed to be another full length campaign, starring Frank West and all his gimmicks plus the ones from DR2, and when it was first announced they made mention that it should be even bigger (the areas and such) then Dead Rising 2 was.
Of course we won't know this till closer to the release date, but its not DLC in any way.. More like a full out expansion pack, or possibly a side sequel
Still, day one for me, I just cant get enough of DR2 and a new campaign with Frank West already sold me on it regardless of the price.
