This sounds good but it wasn't Chuck Green's fault I disliked DR2, although having to save his kid every 24 hours was fucking annoying.
This "expansion" isn't doing anything else over 2, other than giving players Frank West. I'm not sold on it, even with cool incentives like this.
Though I agree with the complaints about DR2.
It really was just more of the same. Was actually sad by that because DR1 is probably one of my favorite games ever. I put so much time in it, it was so unique and was one of the first games to use achievements in a awesome way.
I have to question if you've played the first Dead Rising if you found injecting Chuck's daughter every 24 hours annoying....especially since Otis exists and was far worse than a once a day trip. Otis was a fucking task master.

I would like to see a DR game without the humor, though. A horror game with limited ammo, the ability to use anything as a weapon (even if it slows you down), and TONS of zombies is what survival horror really needs.
As a big fan of the previous two games, I'm pumped for this.
@Mr Andy Dixon
The sequel is very much worth it if you liked the first one. It's basically the same, but with a few more features.
Oh, I'm sure I'll love it! It's just a matter of finishing my backlog and being able to afford it, which is why I might just pick up this one instead.
TL;DR - Can't buy both :)
Hey man, Otis was annoying but at least you could ignore him!
As soon as you avoided helping your daughter in the sequel there was no chance of getting anything other than a depressing ending.
Looking at the comments I guess a lot of people are right, by the time the second one came round the novelty had lost something. To be honest after the first one all I wanted from the sequel was the same again but without three criminals in a jeep and on screen text that I could read on my old tv without my eyes bleeding.
And Dead Rising 2 was better then the first in almost every way. Very similar but it got rid of a lot of the smaller frustations and the weapon crafting system was pretty cool.
As long as they stop the "covered wars" joke, that shit is as played out as "the cake as a lie".
I got to see the new amusement park area firsthand in OTR, and it's a decent size with a couple of rides to have fun with. Got to try two new combo weapons, a sawblade launcher and an electrified sledgehammer. If you loved the previous games and just want to continue the fun, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
