Dead Rising 2, Capcom's hotly anticipated zombie genocide game, has been delayed until September 28 in North America and October 1 in Europe. The game was originally schedule to be released on August 31, but Capcom has pushed back the title by a month for unspecified reasons. And that's all the news Capcom has released on that.
Just so this post isn't a total waste of empty space like my heart, here's a video of Jonathan Holmes and Hollie Bennett talking Dead Rising 2 back at E3. Fact: Hollie never gave me the jacket she stole. What a b*tch.
Hamza Aziz, Destructoid's Community Director, has been here since day one. He was born when a tiger coughed up a hairball into a pool of ooze. He was one of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before budget cuts. Hamza works as a previews editor and manages a team in San Francisco. To date he has given away tens of thousands of dollars in prizes to readers. What a dick. Actually, Hamza is as kind as he is hairy.

Meet the rest of the team
What the fuck they've have put the game back into a very busy schedule, August was perfect as their is little coming out in that month, do Capcom not realise this?
October? But the new Medal of Honor and LittleBigPlanet 2 is coming out that month!! August would have been perfect because there's really no good games that month. July would have also been perfect because it would only need to challenge Crackdown 2.
He put far more effort into speculating a guess than you did complaining about it, so I'll support his thought. Staying away from Halo is a wise move for anyone releasing a game.
That said, publishers put too much stock into release dates and too much focus on that first 30 days of sales.
I'm still not budging from getting this blindly. The original game was the game that got me to buy an Xbox 360.
Dead Rising was my most anticipated game back when I bought my xbox a couple years ago. I played it immediately and by the end i was just disappointed once i realized that it's not *really* a zombie survival game.. and especially once i realized that it was nearly impossible to finish in a positive way in a single playthrough
well its the best zombie survival game made so far... and if you found it nearly impossible to finish in a positive way in a single playthrough, you should find a new hobby...
Had you managed to beat the game (and then the unlockable Overtime mode) you would have discovered Infinity mode, which is about as "zombie survival game" as it gets.
what are you talking about, moron? "putting an effort" has nothing to do with my comment and nobody was "complaining".
read Shael's comments again and then read mine. if you had half a brain, you'd realize there was nothing in there remotely abrasive. back under your bridge, troll.
Awww, I just finished paying off the reserve for this too. Ah well, I will wait damnit, I am a big fan of the original Dead Rising. That, and I am waiting for Case 0 to tie me over.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
what you're doing is offering "speculation".

Just kidding as long as the game is complete I dont mind a delay, although I am in a very bad mood now.
