I wouldn't mind getting the collector's edition, but Amazon gets all my pre-orders by default. I'm more optimistic about this turning out to be good than I was about that debacle known as Ninja Gaiden 3, at least they're not (seemingly) going nuts with unwanted changes in this case.

The DOA5 demo was actually really good. Aside from the visual style and an extremely limited (and optional) QTE move, it still feels like a DOA game.

They also did DoA: Dimensions, which is still one of the best 3DS games in my opinion. That's the main reason for my optimism.

There are a thousand ways to say something and some ways are just indicators. Its just easier to ignore people at the first mention of the word misogyny. It is usually a fair indicator that they have nothing worth reading/listening to but are going to write/say it regardless.

Would love to get the SE for the cd and art book. And for those worrying about NG3, DOA Dimensions was done on the 3DS by them and is the best/most complete version I have ever owned.

Wow, amazing that none of you remember the Metroid made by Team Ninja in which the once independent Samus finally kowtowed to men the way she should. Or the litany of DOA games with women wearing the most, useless, revealing clothing; and breast physics so exaggerated that they ceased to bear any resemblance to reality.
I know there are a team of misogynists here who haven't gotten laid without raping someone, rohypnol, or getting them so drunk that they can't speak clearly enough that you can discern the word "no" (more likely you just haven't). But your bitterness doesn't disrupt the reality that women have been second class citizens for a long time, and there are ways in which society does need to make more equitable the dialogue between men and women.
I'd do more to be an amicable debate partner, giving to some of your points, but you and your cabal remain such a pack of trolls I'm unwilling to give you that. Get the fuck off the planet so you can't have children.

It's not like sex sells and Team Ninja is just conceding to this idea and making attractive women to attract male customers. I'm taking a wait and see approach. There's already too many good fighting games to play right now anyway.
I love boobies, and I love DOA, but I'm not preordering this when I'm almost positive I'll be able to grab this for $49, or maybe even $39 week one, or two at the latest.

In my opinion, the gameplay has always been great, and is better than the sex appeal...
As to what happened to it, perhaps they decides not to fix what isn't broken? ^_^;

I'm okay with selling sex in games, but the DOA series has never really surpassed "cheap" as I see it. Dead or Alive Xtreme 2, for example, while trying it's best to be a game of certain appeal, just looked cheap and plastic, not to mention those rubber ball vs lunar gravity "breast physic"

Whereas for only $10 more Resident Evil 6's special edition gives you all of the other numbered games in the series + their DLC. This isn't worth $10, it should be a free upgrade to people who pre-order.
Wouldn't it be amazing if we lived in a world where developers had more than one team in the entire company working on their games? Just imagine if most of the people that made NG3 had absolutely nothing to do with DOA5! Crazy, right?
This stuff actually came out at E3. I don't know why Tecmo are acting like it's an announcement now. That image of Kasumi has been on their Facenook page and all over fighting game sites for a few weeks now.
Urgh. I really love the DOA games. They're the most plain fun fighting games around and they're pretty much the only fighting game with a story that isn't completely full of holes. They're not just a console-seller for me, but a TV-seller too. Naturally, I was looking forward to whatever special edition of DOA5 there would be. But god damn. I want the soundtrack and the artbook, but they can keep their bloody bikinis. I don't wanna use them and I also don't want to play a game online where every teenage fucker is going to be using Kasumi in a thong too. That's going to get very old very, very quickly.
I'm also a little perturbed that the pre-order bonuses don't mention Lisa or Helena. They don't mention Kokoro either, but at least she's been confirmed. Helena's my second main and hasn't been mentioned at all yet. If she's not in the game, I'mma rage.
