The new chapter to the Dead Fantasy brawl is out and it’s a lot better than Dead Fantasy III. I’m a big fan of fight scenes with multiple characters (FOX X-Men cartoon FTW!) and the last episode really didn’t really pull me in like the episodes before it did.
The new chapter, though, brings back the crazy large fights thanks to the clones of Kasumi and some awesome summon creatures from Yuna. Also, it helps a lot that the music is from the opening credits of Final Fantasy VIII. Such an epic theme song.
Hamza Aziz, Destructoid's Community Director, has been here since day one. He was born when a tiger coughed up a hairball into a pool of ooze. He was one of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before budget cuts. Hamza works as a previews editor and manages a team in San Francisco. To date he has given away tens of thousands of dollars in prizes to readers. What a dick. Actually, Hamza is as kind as he is hairy.

Meet the rest of the team
Those are clones of ALPHA-152 - which we saw at the end of episode III - as opposed to being Kasumi clones. At least I think so, which is why she looks so surprised when they show up, and why she's fighting one of them when Ifrit shoots a fireball at her.
I hope Hayabusa rapes Cloud with his Dragon Sword.
*sigh* God. . . their stuff would seem so much more awesome if they would use a Serif font, opposed to the crappy ass Sans-Serif Lucida. It just makes it seem so. . . default.
I need to learn to watch the vid before reading the post, though nicely done keeping the end unspoilt (which was perhaps done better with what was told, as if that's all there was to the vid).
The last line makes me think of Aaron Ackerson's son, which follows up that titular line with "You really wanna be my girlfriend."
Just who (all?) was talking in the intro? The two FF characters have some similarity in the close-one-lost category. The trippy imagery at the end makes me wonder just how this thing will go / be handled.
When I read the post, I thought it said "VII", so when the music started, the FFVIII similarity (not to mention the KH call-outing) became justified.
So, none of the optional aeons (and Ifrit, who tend to be my weakest due to the reqs for his Celestial Weapon, got taken down rather quick-like). Here's hoping for Anima, at the least, in Yuna's next class change/degradation (or, even better, the final one).

Ah, thanks for the explanation, Autumn. I don't keep up with the Tecmo side of things.
Wow, I can't remember the last time something made me go "No fucking way!" but when Cloud showed up, that was my reaction.
Pretty awesome, except I think the Aeons should've lasted much longer. Kinda strange how he let Shiva and Ixion last almost the whole fight, but killed off the others pretty quickly. Great combined attack by Shiva and Ixion, too.
Especially Cloud... His massive sword and ridiculous motorcycle are clearly compensating for his tiny emo wiener. I can only assume that a future Dead Fantasy will end with a scene of Yuna looking very disappointed with Cloud crying in the corner.
Anyway, I suppose this could be acceptably balanced out if Ryu busts in at some point and chops Clouds into a pile of black clothes and tears.
Oh man; I've watched these before, and enjoyed them very much. But this one...this one gave me chills to watch. I really liked this setting, especially the Final Fantasy monsters!
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?

I'm going with Lighting from FFXIII with a surprise upset for the win!

Seriously? Why did Monty Oum deem it neccesary to take an artistic path in this series?
That said... Cloud? Really?
