Monty Oum is back to continue his Dead Fantasy series. Be sure to check out Dead Fantasy 1 and Dead Fantasy 2 if you haven't watched this awesome series yet.
In the second episode, the Final Fantasy and Team Ninja girls were teleported away to different parts of the planet. Dead Fantasy III picks up with Tifa and Hitomi as they battle it out. It’s a close match until Hitomi realizes Tifa’s secret. Also, we finally see these girls actually bleed.
The Dead Fantasy series is far from over as there are still a handful of fights to be seen. Check out the new episode after the break.
Hamza Aziz, Destructoid's Community Director, has been here since day one. He was born when a tiger coughed up a hairball into a pool of ooze. He was one of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before budget cuts. Hamza works as a previews editor and manages a team in San Francisco. To date he has given away tens of thousands of dollars in prizes to readers. What a dick. Actually, Hamza is as kind as he is hairy.

Meet the rest of the team
But I don't like them bleeding! That levity was the line between fun fan-service animation and overwrought (if technically brilliant) melodramatic fanfiction.
That one was shorter and not as well done, still well done when it comes to being animated by one guy alone though, especially for a random internet series.
Though then again I'd probably be saying that it was awesome if Tifa had won so I'm just nit picking >_>
Wow, epic as always. That Monty sure does know how choreograph a fight! This one was a little shorter and smaller in scale than the first two, but it's still amazing to watch.
Roll on part 4!
I don't know, this one didn't impress me like the first two did. I guess it kind of feels like things are starting to get repetitive. Or maybe the hints that the creator's trying to shoehorn a plot in there somewhere...
Either way, the guy still deserves credit for the effort that went into this. No small feat, these videos.
Always happy to see over the top fighting. I love how Hitomi beat the Materia right out of Tifa and then Tifa went buttfuck crazy casting back to back spells. Also, I remembers Tifa's rack being somewhat bigger then portrayed here.
I know it wont happen, but I'd like to see some of the male characters get thrown in too simply because there are only so many females you can do. Plus, I want to see Sephiroth go up against Hyabusa.
Watch the trailer for part 3 on youtube. Hayate and his entire squad of ninjas show up to help Hitomi take down Tifa (hence the ninja at the end).
You can bet your ass that Sephiroth will show up.
Technically now Tifa should be physically much stronger because all that materia she was loaded up with is gone and Hitomi should discover the cost of ODing on materia.
While I was really entertained when I first saw Haloid (though I thought the very end was pretty stupid), the Dead Fantasy movies haven't really done it for me. Whereas the Samus vs Master Chief was something people had talked about and wanted to see, the only people who ever thought to do a Final Fantasy/DOA crossover were probably hentai fans. These movies are starting to show Monty as a bit of a one-trick-pony, and I'd really like to see what he could do if he tried something with a little more depth, and perhaps a bit more original. He's definitely got talent, but I think that it's getting obscured by rampant fanservice.
I do love his choreography, but I think Monty could try and change up the camera styles- dynamic angles, different view points, etc. A lot of other people have already talked about the series' plot, or lack thereof- if he got a half-decent writer behind him, he could kick some serious ass.
Jeez, I really liked Dead Fantasy 1 and 2. They were just zany, over-the-top fight scenes. They actually made me think "why the hell can't movies have awesome fights like these?" And then this happened.
Complaint 1: Starry/snowy intro is TOO FREAKING LONG.
Complaint 2: "When Angels Cry"??? Do shut up.
Complaint 3: Music snatched from Devil May Cry 4, overall tone is different from past 2 installments. Why is this trying to be so serious?
Complaint 4: All that materia just pouring out of Tifa starts to get (unintentionally?) comical.
Complaint 5: Another horrendously long scene of "plot," where it is revealed that there is a futuristic computer and giant tubes containing clones... It was this "story" event that decided it for me: I just don't want to see any more of this.

I wish I could stock Tifa full of materia like that in the game, though.
Also, WTF this was totally broken by Ungangbangkay like a couple of hours ago... STEP IT UP GUYS! :P
But seriously though 4 comes out next monday and 5 the monday after that.
Although I know my sweet Aeris wouldnt fight well, I just want to see what role she might play in all of this, if any. Great vids!
Pillow fight!

This could definitely reach epic proportions of crossover.
Does this guy still work for (what was) Midway?
If I'm not mistaken he left midway and is working at namco bandai.
