Downloadable title Dead Block is a zombie defense game, but unlike Call of Duty: Black Ops' focus on shooting zombies, it has a focus on creating traps to deal with the undead menace. It reminds me a bit of Evil Genius but with zombies.
The Unreal Engine 3 powered game features 10 singleplayer levels, up to 4-player split-screen multiplayer, 8 co-op levels, 9 types of traps and upgradable weapons.
Dead Block is scheduled for a Summer 2011 release on Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, and PC.

this game looks bad ass....it seems like its more ENGINEER from TF2 than COD:Zombies. Prolly not a day one purchase but looks pretty cool none the less.
Black Ops: Escalation is awesome so far! A few minutes ago I came across a blog that's giving out the Escalation DLC for free! I thought it was a scam until I saw the DLC code laying in my e-mail inbox. :D
I'm not sure if there's any codes left, but if you want to give it a shot, here's the site:
Deadblock's web page doesn't say anything about four-player split-screen. It doesn't even say four-player *or* split-screen. It just says that the game has eight co-op multiplayer levels, without mention of whether it is split-screen and/or online, and without mention of how many players it supports. And with only three characters shown, four-player support seems a bit less likely.
Or is Maurice Tan reporting info from elsewhere (like a press release or forum or something?)
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
