Dead Block is finally out for PC photo

It may not seem like that long ago, but way back in July of last year a little zombie-survival game by the name of Dead Block came out on XBLA and PSN. Now, about half a year later, the Call of Duty Zombie mode-esque downloadable title has found a new home on PC.

Dead Block can't be found on Steam, but is instead exclusively available to purchase on other online retailers such as Amazon and GameStop for only $9.99. Our very own Maurice Tan didn't have too many positive things to say about the game in his review, but your next chance to play a co-op zombie-survival game won't come until Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City launches in March. So, what are you waiting for? It's only ten bucks.

I've started to pay attention to the Indie Marketplace instead of big titles because of games like this. A lot of these $10 and up games are shit, whereas most Indie games have old-school charm and they cost less.

After playing this on XBLA I can assure you, this is really nothing to be excited about. I recommend waiting for Operation Raccoon City to drop if you seriously need a "zombie" game.

Not only is it not that good, it's not on Steam either? RIP Dead Block on PC.

Just me or has every other news post lately been about developers suddenly deciding they better put their shit on PC?

What Neph said. Except skip Raccoon City too.

'Tis very true. I think people are realizing that a strong market still exists on PC and when a random indie developer can make millions just by selling a game from their own website...I think people see the relatively low risk, but potential for high reward.

Doesn't look that interesting, certainly not interesting enough to buy a non-steam copy of it for sure, and to top that all off playing the psn demo confirmed to me this game isn't worth bothering with further.

Seriously though, Steam or GTFO

This game has been on PC for ages though. Been available on gamersgate, and ive been having quite a lot of fun with it since then.

Isn't Epic making a construction related zombie game too? Fortnight, I or something. That looks promising.

Just purchased RE5... I think I'll enjoy RE: ORC much more since the pretense of horror is dropped and it doesn't pretend it's not an action game. Dirt bikes, car chases, and of course Wasker.

The fact this and skydrift have made their way to PC fills me with hope that Digitals Realities other games will (Sina Mora and Black Knight)

Hellz yeah, I'd be all over Sina Mora faster than you can say "ZOMG what is that thing all over Sina Mora?"

Tried the demo on XBL several months back. It was incredibly tedious. Setting the traps might be entertaining, but the "smash everything in the level so you can find a guitar in a bucket" is the antithesis of fun.

Indie games like ZP2KX and "Can You Handle 2 At Once?" are a hell of a lot more fun. For 10 times the money Dead Block should be better.
