DDO: Eberron Unlimited has a store, fresh images show it photo

Dungeons and Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited is a free-to-play MMO with all the frills you should expect from one, including a store. This morning Turbine tossed us multiple screenshots of the new DDO store. Consider this your first look if you’re not currently participating in the digital upgrade’s beta test.

From what I can see, the store offers standard fare: potions that increase experience points and loot, extra races and combat stances, and optional quests. One of the cooler things about it -- and yeah, it’s just a store -- is that it’s available in game: activating the store icon doesn’t push you out of the game and into a browser window.

So, yeah, DDO: Eberron Unlimited has a store. You can buy stuff in it.

If all this MMO business has you confused, I suggest reading our interview with Turbine about DDO: Eberron Unlimited. The fine folks I spoke with walked me through its story and pointed out what makes Eberron Unlimited special. Pretty hip stuff and some remarkably candid answers to my questions.

Uhh, I was under the impression that the Drow didn't even exist in Eberron. AFAIK they are exclusive to the Forgotten Realms lore. GG trying to cash in on all the Drow fanboys by making them pay to play in DDO.

There are Drow in Eberron, just not the subterranean kind. Nor were they ever exclusive to the Forgotten Realms, having been shoehorned in due to the success of the Vault of the Drow modules in Greyhawk. Of course, one Drizzt later, and Drow are the most popular thing going in D&D.

Still, you're right. It's a cash in (and a smart one at that)

Uzzy already corrected you, but it's more of something you should know, since Eberron was designed to use everything that was in 3.5 and more. I really hope it's transition to 4 is good, it seems like it from what I've seen, and the new paragon path (prestige class basically) of self-forged for artificers is extremely badass.

Drow exist in Eberron. theyre the elv es that stayed in the giant's homeland of Xen'drik rather than moving to the elf onry islands most elves claim as home now.

Though what really annoys me about this store is notice a lovely little word that says Level and stat boost store?

Hooray. buying your way to 20.
