The PSN downtime has been difficult for everybody. Among those hit hardest by the problem are folks paying extra for the privilege to play DC Universe Online over the network. Today, in a post on the game's Facebook page, Sony Online Entertainment has stated what they plan to do to ease the pain of those unable to don their tights.
Affected players of DC Universe Online will receive a free month of the game, plus a day for every day the service has been down. Additionally, players will be given an in-game item, the above Batman-inspired mask.
Does this make you feel better about having your powers stripped away temporarily, or will this turn you towards villainy?

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
And Night Owl looks like Batman.
Paradox?
PS. Anyone want to buy a used copy of DC Online Universe?
Whoa dude, we better be careful not to accidentally cause the universe to unravel with talk about paradoxes (parodoxi?)
But by warning me of paradoxes while I've already talked about them means you and I already have.
And by replying to your reply about paradoxes I've created another one right now.
And if you were tor reply about me replying to me about replying about your reply about paradoxes and me casually mentioning even another paradox would occur, causing and endless paradoxical cycle.
Also, paradox.
Well, you can wear the mask without actually appearing to wear the mask - so you could gain whatever benefits without looking like everyone else.
Still, this seems a bit weak. The free month is cool, but I just expected more than a mask.
So you're complaining that people have gotten a free month plus every day its been down, and freebie ingame, but that still isnt good enough for plus members? my friend, its called compensation and if my PS3 internet was down for 2 weeks (i own an xbox) i wouldnt complain that a around 38 days (i think) would be given to me for nothing. i think thats a pretty sweet deal actually and is very fair. learn to grow up and not expect a fully built mansion for compensation when someone crashes into your fence. its a start, its a good deal for repeat paying customers and in my opinion a just reward for patience.
