All you guys and gals still enjoying some DC Universe Online are gonna get some free downloadable content come September 6th. Specifically you'll be treated to the introduction of The Green Lantern Corp, the new Light power set, and several new missions. One of the cooler missions involves a showdown with the Red Lantern Corps in Coast City.
Frankly I didn't even know that a Red Lantern Corp existed, so spiffy. Considering you're free to create either a Green Lantern Corp or Sinestro Corp character, I suppose that means everyone's accounted for? The Green Lantern's always been one of the more unique superheroes out there, so perhaps this will give DC Universe Online some extra life. Apparently the game sold rather well at first. How many of you are still loyal to this particular MMO?

I wasn't too thrilled with the Beta, so I'll keep my money from this one.
Also to anyone who tried it early on I can vouch that they have fixed the bugs, added features and streamlined the UI. It is a much more complete game than it was at launch.
Glad to see this is going to be free since there is a subscription to play anyway, I though I had heard that this was premium DLC a while back and I remember bristling at the thought.
This game has previous DLC, and plans for future DLC - that is what I'm obviously referring to. Subscription based MMOs give you "content", because of your fee - they don't provide micro-transactions on top of a subscription fee.
Every bit of playable DLC in DCU Online has been free. The only thing they have charged for his cosmetic stuff.
Unless you're trying to say full expansions is better than DLC which might be the case most of the time but its pretty obvious that free DLC every few months is better than a 30 dollar expansion every year or 2.
