Destructoid is gaming news, community, videos, and sometimes love. Take the tour or jump in with Facebook:

In the spirit of our exclusive, hard-hitting coverage of vaguely popular cartoons enjoyed by British children, we bring you the above video; a three and a half minute long clip of God of War creator David Jaffe proving conclusively that if he wasn't a trendsetting, outspoken game developer, he'd be your creepy uncle who offers to buy you beer, but only if you'll refer to him as 'Drizzt'.

Though I have to say, I'm impressed that he managed to pick up the soundtracks for both Ladyhawke and WarGames. If I hadn't just read that Mr. Jaffe has a wife whom he presumably has sex with, I'd be forced to come to the conclusion that he wants to save Ferris ... if you know what I mean ...

Destructoid is a gaming site in the sense that Oceania in 1984 was a propserous, free society.

I have a bit of a love/hate thing with Jaffe.
I love that the guy will speak his mind about anyone/thing, but nearly half the time it's just shit spewing out.

I would hate to be in a creative meeting with Jaffe. He seems like a cool enough guy to hang out with, but why the hell doesn't he ever let anyone finish their stories?

If David Jaffe were a film director, he would be the Rush Hour guy.

He is sooooo nothing special.
