Darksiders II developers contemplate the nature of Death

THQ has released a new video featuring members of the development team at Vigil Games working on Darksiders II as they offer insight into the setting and plot of the games. If you haven't played the first title yet, this video will spoil one of the most epic moments of that game, so you'll want to watch out. It offers a nice little refresher course as to what we know about the conflict which prematurely destroys Earth (which is, to say, not a whole lot).

More than anything, this video has served to remind me how much fun I had playing the first Darksiders. It wasn't terribly unique in anything, effectively being a Zelda-like game derived from one of the most widely read books in the history of man, but it did it all with such style and panache that I was satisfied throughout. I'm really looking forward to playing that again just before Death comes knocking on my doorstep for the second go around.
