I loved Darksiders, and am looking forward to this one immensely. But things like this make me not want to pick up the game at launch, just to spite them. On the other hand, it's probably not the dev's fault, so it doesn't feel right not buying it for those reasons.

Also won't it be either majorly lame/hilarious when we get to use the other horsemen? Famine and plague are somewhat harder to market!

Actually, Twilight Princess wasn't THAT good. :)
Also, in the comic universe whre Darksiders originates from the other two horsemen are Fury (a gal with a flamewhip and claws) and Strife (dude with guns). I was wondering as well why they'd go with Death on this one instead the last one (i there are more, i sure hope so).

who cares? THQ still hasn't been able to patch the game breaking glitches from the first game in the black throne level.
Also, back to back posting aside.
I'm going to guess that they forego making a game for each horseman, and after this when Death sorts out the War fiasco (or doesn't) they all get together and bring the hurt down ala the end of Darksiders 1 considering this game doesn't play off the end of the first.

Nothing for Steam? I'd be shocked if they snubbed Steam, since many THQ games would have gone down in flames without Steam's support.

I got a free copy of the also stellar Red Faction Guerrilla with the first Darksiders. This junk kinda pales in comparison. I guess it's better than a surplus copy of RF:Armageddon or a THQ uDraw tablet though.
I decided long ago that retailer-exclusive preorder bonuses was a deal-breaker for me.
Sucks, I enjoyed the first game and was looking forward to this. Now I'll be waiting until it drops to $30 or so.

this crap really discourages me from buying at launch. Doesn't make me feel like I got a bonus. It makes me feel like I missed out no matter where I buy it.
I'm really hoping that there ends up being a 'double' pack sort of release of this... I LOVED the first one, and have been itching to play it again..

Oh man, my only complaint is that they didn't throw in the new Disturbed single "Burn in My Fyre" with the game. That would've been perfect.
As usual, Gamestop gets arguably the best pre-order exclusive. More content rather than some silly little skins or unnecessary buffs. I wish that all retailers would get the same pre-order DLC like Saints Row: The Third did.
