As a fan of Capcom's earlier Wii title Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, I've been looking forward to hearing more about the follow-up, called The Darkside Chronicles. We saw a trailer when the title was first announced, but this new one (below the jump) does a much better job of showing off the game in acton.
Instead of backstory, we're getting lots of in-game footage here, and it all looks really good. See Leon (Leeeeoooonnnn!) with his cool flipped-to-the-side hair, in action, back in the late 1990s in Raccoon City. See Claire walk up the stairs in her promiscuous/conservative combination of daisy dukes and spandex shorts. See a crazy huge alligator go rawr. See a boss that you know is going to be a bitch to take down.
I don't know about you, but I got a little motion sick while watching this trailer. That won't stop me from looking forward to this game, though. What about you? Are you for the Chronicles series?

I hope Leon and Claire aren't that annoying throughout the game. I dunno. I've never been a fan of either though...but Claire's outfit amuses me. I kinda like it as tacky as it is. I'm not fond of on-rails shooters, or as how I recently realized, Resident Evil either but...I may give this a try. Just to fight a giant alligator. Cause that's rad.
My crush on Claire Redfield pretty much guarantees that I will own this game. The fact that this trailer looks great may possibly mean that I'll enjoy it.
While the first game wasn't bad, trying playing co-op with someone not used to QTEs. We died so many times on the "shoot the grenades near Nemesis and dive the fuck away" part of RE3 because of that alone. XD In fact, those were the only times we did die. Hmm.
Sold. This completely encompasses my love for lightgun shooters and campy Resident Evil goodness. The second one is still my all time favorite so seeing it in a new perspective will be cool too.
Didn't play the first game but the sequel looks great and I'm a fan of on-rail shooters. This one seems to be scarier and the characters playing a more interactive role should make things more interesting.
umbrella chronicles was a surprisingly great time. will certainly be interested in this one, too. being able to see the other partner adds a lot... the first game seemed a bit odd that you'd hear dialog going on, but never saw anyone else.
I'd literally ingest a brick for the sole purpose of shitting it should Capcom ever make an actual sequel of RE2 and RE3 (keeping to the original gameplay as REmake did, not RE4+ action).
With that said, I'm still actually really looking forward to this title! I need to get that nerf gun to feel badass when playing a wii.
The Resident Evil remake made me buy a Gamecube, and now this may actually make me buy a Wii. Damn you Nintendo and your Resident Evil exclusives. Well played. You win my money this round as well.
I saw a targeting reticle and a small child in the same screen. If we're able to do what I think we're able to do, I'm pretty sure it's going to cause quite a ruckus in the news.
I honestly don't believe that out of everything in Resident Evil 2, I forgot about the giant alligator that took up 3/4 of the screen. Seriously, I forgot that part, I feel ashamed. This seems to be a good follow-up to Umbrella Chronicles, I'll look into it.
Man this trailer looks worlds better than the first game.
And I thought the first game was awesome. Unfortunately my friends are tools and I never had a co op partner, thus never really played the first one beyond the RE: 0 mission.
I hope there's more than just RE2 in there though. I don't know if I'd want to spend $50, or even $30 on just a light gun shooter version of RE2. Umbrella Chronicles was great because it covered three games, plus side stories to those games, PLUS had completely original content and areas.
awesome... WIlliam Birkin is easily my favorite mutation through the series. id like to see more how he looks and what all i have to do to take him down

I didn't play Umbrella Chronicles but the Leon factor is fifty-fold in this one!
I'll definitely be buying this.

God I miss them ;_;

Also, those shorts. That's all I can say.

well him and mr x/ big guy
Fuck the story brother, you get to shoot zombies and shit.
I'm really anticipating this.
It's sort of a bummer that it comes out at the same time as Deadspace: Extracton though. Guess my Fall/Winter will be full of rail shooter goodness.
Also, if you don't blink, you'll see some RE:CV zombies rise from their graves at the end of the trailer.
