Looking at this new video for Dark Void, I have deduced that the game is going to go one of two ways -- either it will be totally awesome and make you feel like Boba Fett, or it will be an exercise in pure frustration and won't work properly. The new trailer does not make it clear which direction the game will go in.
It certainly looks promising, but I just can't help wondering how the aerial chicanery is going to handle from a control perspective. Images of unwieldy flight mechanics and buttons that do a gazillion things at once cascade within my mind. One only hopes that Airtight Games knows what it's doing, because it's got serious potential.

Meet the rest of the team
I am looking forward to this with trepadation, as well. The graphics look a little on the flat side as well as pretty sparse environments... but I'm a sucker for jet packs.
well it wasn't just me

I knew I'd already see this on Destructoid
I know you love to have a word on everything Jim, but there is a limit :)
It's made by the people that made Crimson Skies on the original XBOX, which in my opinion has the best flight controls ever. I have faith Dark Void will control just fine
Wow. Did *none* of you tools (including you, Jim) ever play Crimson Skies on the Xbox?
I sure as hell did, and I can tell just by watching that brief snippet that Dark Void's main character has a very similar move set to the airplanes in its spiritual predecessor.
How's Dark Void gonna play? A lot like Crimson Skies, which is a good thing.
It kind of makes me uncomfortable that they made a trailer using two moves (that's all they have to show...?), but I'm still hopeful for this game since is from Capcom.
@packard29: It's no coincidence that Dark Void seems like Crimson Skies: HRTR. Some of the staff at Airtight Games worked on that game, as well. Just knowing that gives me greater confidence that the controls will be good.
