The Dark Void team doesn’t plan to make their vomit-inducing, jetpack-equipped protagonist a caricature. Will isn’t the brutish heroic type. In fact, he’s a bit of a ballsy lone wolf, choosing to work by himself while using gadgets he doesn’t even understand -- the jet pack being one of those things, as explained by the latest developer diary video available above.
But despite his solo flaw, Will won’t find himself alone in Dark Void. The mythic Tesla and ex-lady friend Eva have his back. Tesla makes the junk both characters will use to, according to the diary, spearhead a revolt. Eva on the other hand, knows things about Will, man. She knows things.
Ah, nothing like a bit of back-story in the morning. Dark Void, by the way, hits January 12 next year. Look for it if you like vomiting (and/or jetpack action).
guys i have a problem i cant view any destructoid video anymore now since they put them on viddler , i can only see them there on viddler but not here :(
Wow, this game just got a whole lot more interesting. I didn't know what all the back story business was. Now that Tesla is in the house, this is a must buy for sure. Oh, yeah, and Jetpacks, yeah, pretty much rule.

When I asked a dev about what Dark Void would be doing to increase replayability, he kind of said "ummm yeaa...it'll be a fun game!" Like WET, all signs point to rental.

I have a feeling this games going to be so baller.
From what I played, it won't be quite as bad as Bionic Commando.
Oh wait it's single player...so it won't have any replay value. We'll have to see!
Y'know, there are fames out there with only Single Player that have a lot of replayability.
