If you're becoming impatient the October 4 release date of Dark Souls, the Japanese webpage for Dark Souls has a few goodies to hold you over for a bit
From Software's page has been updated with music samples from the game's soundtrack. We're not talking a couple of little turdy teasers, either. There's 23 samples here to check out, and they all sound like you're about to get eaten, or you're on fire or something. Here's a fun thing to try: Imagine yourself about to die in-game and then listen to each sample. Doesn't each make it seem like you're going to die really soon? Every track sounds like the end of the world! All of the selections are orchestral, scary and packed with wailing choirs, but track 22 in particular is like ffffffffffffuuu.
On the same page you'll find a world map that you can zoom into and look at. It's a smaller digital version of the one that will be packed in with the Japanese release.
